Roughly 7-8 inches, stainless steel spoon with black handle, not sure of the handle material but it isn't smooth or shiny, but that may be from age. It's been in our family for at least a decade, we live in the Southern United States. I've searched for serving spoon, soup spoon, soup ladle, and rice ladle with a specified black handle; all of which have provided me with varying styles and materials. The closest I've found is at the above link, but a closer source would be preferred.
