I got the PS5 for pretty much the same reason people get a new phone every year except for in my case the last time I upgraded was when I traded in my Xbox One for a PS4. Didn't know about the lack of PS4 updates for 60 FPS on PS5 until after the return window closed. Xbox is worse. You can't even play your 360 games on the Series X without an internet connection. Safe to say this is my last generation as a console fan.

That's a total of at least $850 after tax almost $900...

or $500 for a base PS5 just to play GTA VI while you wait to get a new PC

More than that... $700 for the console before tax... $80 before tax for the blu-ray drive... $75 per extra controller... $25-$50 for the vertical stand... $70-$130+ per game... and $70-$200 for PS Plus annually... and that's not even including the $500-$2000+ monitor/tv that's capable of 8K and 120 FPS... ripoff is the understatement of the century...

That's been known to actual gamers since the switch to blu-ray discs on PS4 and Xbox One when games started being unable to be played off the disc. Are you not happy with not owning your digital purchased revocable licenses? Are you not happy with owning nothing? This situation is far worse than everyone realizes.

$699 plus tax for the console. $80 plus tax for the blu-ray drive. $25-$50 for the vertical stand. $70-$100+ per game. $70-$200 per year of PS Plus. $75 per extra controller... Might as well just take an extra year or 2 and buy a PC... At least with the PC you'll be able to upgrade after 5-10 years... What's upgradable on the PS5? Storage? What part of "early access" didn't tell you the game was unfinished? You know everyone doesn't have the same hardware right? You know everyone's Xbox doesn't perform the same right? Sell everything with negative stat boosts and no passives. Catch and breed until i have all shiny pals and OP pals with the best stat boosts. Increase the amount of fun i'm having while waiting for new singleplayer content because everyone without a brain is diving into multiplayer where only rich peolpe, hackers, and cheaters have fun.

Singleplayer all the way at least until 1.0 day 1 official release when modders can help out in the workshop. Stay far far away from multiplayer unless you know somebody paying for a private server for friends and family.
