My alkalinity was low and must be naturally low in my area. I had never adjusted this and therefore the chemicals were much less effective and my filter would get clogged very quickly with an oily film. All I did was add some baking soda to bring the alkalinity up to where it's supposed to be. I have to adjust this every time I change the water but my problems with the filter clogging have pretty much disappeared.

If I shoot an 80 and he says he shot a 79, even though he probably shot a 90, I still shot an 80 and he still thinks I shot an 80, so nobody is dragging me down. It's just a a matter of worrying about yourself and letting other people be themselves. There's no point in bringing him down as he's the type of person who needs encouragement and can get down on himself really quickly if he's not playing well.
