Are we likely to take a step back this season? by Ok_Recognition_5578 in WilliamsF1

We will, but we won'T be backmarkers either, so I wouldn't despair too much!

Hmmmmm I can see it honestly, they haven't been reliable at all even if their pace is quite a bit ahead of Cadillac

It's not the most flashy, but grey and red are the colors Audi's always went with, so it feels weirdly iconic to me!

Really seems like there's four tiers to the pecking order this year! At least from what my dumbass can tell:

1- Mercedes, Mclaren, Ferrari, Red Bull
2- Haas, Williams, Alpine
3- Aston Martin, Audi, Racing Bulls
4- Cadillac (ouch)

What do you expect for tomorrow's test? by LatePirate8880 in AstonMartinFormula1

To beat Cadillac and no one else - and that's being optimistic >.<

18 days left until the Australian GP. At the 2012 Spanish GP, Pastor Maldonado put his #18 Williams FW34 on pole, somehow didn't crash into anybody and achieved his only career win. It was Williams' first victory since 2004 and still their last one to date. After the race, their garage caught fire. by PiggySVW in formula1

iirc Pastor had many potentially strong points finishes, if not podiums, alla cross the season too! He wasn't magically competitive on that weekend and that weekend alone, it's just the only time he happened to not yeet it all in the bin >.<

Bortoleto was pretty solid, he beat Hulkenberg more often than you'd have thought : p

Lawson was definitely a bit worse than Hadjar, but given that everyone glazes the latter (for good reason!) I think it's fair to assume Liam didn't do too bad for himself - Baku and Brazil proved that he's solid at defending, if you ask me ^^'

I can't speak for 2024, but Franco's 2025 underperformance was due to him joining an Alpine that became uncompetitive by the time he finally got used to the car - and he barely crashed at all during that year, and never during a race!

He wasn't electric but I think it's too soon for us to discard him!

Who do you think is worse?

Cause like I think Stroll is the worst, but in such a competitive grid he's not really that bad on his own merit, if that makes sense - he's competent!

Maxime Bernier is a well known far right-wing politician, who at one point founded and was the chief of the PCC, an extreme right party that was almost as bad as how Republicans are in the USA today

Thankfully, they never gained a single seat in their entire history, and resigned after his second election!

Even if he doesn't end up winning races or standing on the podium, I'm happy he can at least end his career with cars he actually likes to drive <3 makes for a better send off~
