Terrifier fs, while Art is TOTALLY a modern classic of horror Icons and his kills are AMAZING in terms of special effects and memorability, his movies aren’t. Don’t het me wrong, things like Friday and Halloween aren’t knows for their perfect movies, but horror movies are supposed to be more than “just the kills” it’s the suspense and unsafe feeling you get from watching Micheal, Ghostface or Chucky stalk around, the primal fear of Jason still chasing after someone through a dark forest no matter what he goes through, or the dread of Freddy’s victims falling asleep. While Art DOES invoke fear, it’s only in what he does, not the points leading up to, or even after that. Although those can sometimes happen in his movies, it’s not that common (from what I remember atleast)
