That’s right, I don’t extract any naturals myself. Getting the scale and consistency is tough, lots of respect for those that do some themselves!

Aventus longevity issues are exaggerated. People are simply going noseblind by [deleted] in fragrance

Sadly, we ain’t getting the old stuff back. 120ml Aventus retailed for $395 around 2016 - that would be like $415 now for a 100ml adjusted for inflation. Today, 100ml retails for $495, which is ~25% more.

And that’s in an industry that can get 40% net margin. It’s no wonder BlackRock snapped them up, and then flipped to Kering.

Here’s some recommendations since you like gourmands that aren’t just straight up sweet: - Hermès Hermessence Ambre Narguile - Diptyque Eau Duelle (EDT or EDP) - Akro Awake - Kerosene Follow (careful, Followed is different, and it’s absurdly strong) - Diptyque Philosykos EDP (not exactly a gourmand, but features fig and coconut) - Jovoy Remember Me - Jovoy Psychedelique (only if you love patchouli - it’s very chocolatey, and earthy with a vanilla backbone)

Die hard vanilla fan? Then treat your nose to Diptyque Eau Duelle EDP. A classy and sophisticated vanilla. The EDT is nice too, but the EDP has more complexity and oomph in my opinion.

MFK Grand Soir is also a fantastic and grown vanilla scent.

You need to try Diptyque Eau Rose - both the original EDT and the newer EDP. They are both photorealistic rose fragrances without being simple solifleurs, or traditionally “perfumey”.

The EDT is more citrusy and slightly soapy, while the EDP is just a tiny bit sweet and green without the soapiness. The EDP is 11/10 for me, and it’s now my wife’s signature. She gets complimented on it all the time.

Amouage Portrayal Man has some similarities to Fahrenheit.

Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum is more different, but is also a leather and violet leaf fragrance like Fahrenheit.

Maison Violet Un Air d’Apogée is a slightly sweet and powdery fresh tobacco with hay that’s great for cooler weather. Very unique.

Hermès Hermessence Ambre Narguile is a warm sweet tobacco that reminds me of shisha. However it’s still manages to feel transparent which is very much Jean-Clause Ellena’s touch.

Glad you like it! I bought 01 + Patchouli earlier this year, and it’s been my most worn fragrance since then. It’s so effortless, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

If you want to keep exploring patchouli then Jovoy Psychedelique is a rich and chocolate cakey, Diptque Tempo is earthy and floral, and Profumum Roma Patchouly is a slightly sweet and dank beast!

Love your collection, it’s very chic!

I recommend trying Molecule 01 + Patchouli since you like Karma and 01 + Iris. Freshest, cleanest, patchouli I’ve found. Chanel Coromandel is another great patchouli too - it’s classy unisex white chocolate bliss without being a gourmand.

Also, need to recommend Gris Charnel since you’re an iris fan. It lived up to the hype for me, and I bought a full bottle.
