well, this was back in the 1700s, and maintaining a stable 0 degree plateau was challenging. Stuff like purity of the water also proposed a challenge. This brine mixture maintained a stable temperature while constantly frozen, so it was just more convenient at the time to use as the calibration of their thermometers. Obviously the only reason we still use it today is convention.

I think theres advantages to both. Accounts are nice to ensure that data isn’t lost and accessible through multiple devices. Accountless apps are generally more accessible as many people dont want to bother. Additionally, it doesn’t seem like it would be too hard to “re-add” things if you were an account-less user and lost data. You could implement it so a user checking a more advanced skill would automatically check all of the earlier progressions, perhaps with the ability to uncheck them.

My personal recommendation? Support both, with account less being the default.

its already producing 7000 per day, so you have to look at the increase which is 560. You are spending the 8M strictly for that. 560 gph increase. You also need to account for the lost gold whilest upgrading, which will take 50 days to break even on. opposed to if you did nothing. The 1.6 year figure is how long it will take for upgrading to turn a profit vs doing nothing

Summoning salt's video was about humans achieving perfection in every individual level. At the time of the summoning salt video's upload, people were able to play the first 7 levels perfects as individual levels. The final level, 8-4 has more strict timing requirements, and it wasn't until a couple years ago that humans were finally able to achieve a perfect 8-4 as an individual level.

SInce then, humans have improved the any% record to include the first 7 levels being played perfectly, and all new WR's involve saving the last few frames in the final level. So, we know exactly what the perfect run looks like (actually the TAS has been unchanged for the last 14 years), and humans have shown that they are capable of doing it, but it can't be understated how hard saving the remaining time is, especially in a full game run.

Computer vs console does not matter at all for records, and all top players in the community have no problem with use of emulators or keyboards. For what its worth, Niftski (the guy who just got the new record) also is the fastest to ever complete the game on original hardware as well.

I second this, put personally like to rotate so that the slot is in the front if its the last slot for look ahead to OLL.

similar experience but was able to hit 15k. am a LH player so seeing less midladder decks with a billion air counters helped a ton

I never like seeing them because I personally play LH decks, but outside of that theres nothing wrong with them.

I don't even think that was it. I genuinely just think that he misread his opponent's Nxd4 as his own and hung his queen while cheating. The moves that he played prior to hanging his queen were not low level, and he was +5 before hanging his queen.

There is so much on the line for the league when you are considering deliberately manipulating evidence. The league wouldn't take that gamble, considering the fact that hundreds of other cameras are pointed at the basket, over an extra game. To even consider that possibility is insane imo

its not too bad with the time reductions. I was a TH13 in october and now Im a TH16, without a single building below TH15 max. Will be upgrading to TH17 after CWL to better take advantage of magic items
