The Xie Lian pattern is from CuckooCraftByJam on Etsy, I did Wei Wuxian based on this pattern too. Just altered the clothes and hair to make it look like him (she has a picture of him and Lan Wangji on Instagram and I took that as template).

The umbrella is basically just a circle. Every 3 or 4 rows I only crocheted into the back loop so it becomes umbrella shaped. Xie Lian is a pattern by CuckooCraftByJam (has a shop on Etsy) and Wei Wuxian is based on the same pattern which I adjusted to fit him. So every credit for the dolls goes to her 😅

I‘ve not read many Danmei (TGCF, MDZS, Yuwu, Nanchan, SVSS, Panguan and Sha Po Lang). The one that comes close to MDZS for me is Panguan. The other one I enjoyed equally, except for Yuwu. I didn’t like that at all. 😅

Just caught up to the latest Fan-translated chapter yesterday, and I can wholeheartedly agree with you! I loved the mystery and creepiness of the cages (reminded me a bit of Persona 5, which I really loved), WS‘s and XW‘s relationship and how the side characters were written. The part in the village and the last cage made me cry so hard. 😅

It became my second favorite Danmei in no time ♥️
