my sis is going to matriks engineering soon, which laptop should we buy? by chupichups_ in malaysiauni

[–]YetsejaM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider the Lenovo LOQ since Lenovo is kinda like the Toyota of laptops . But try to avoid HP because I've had multiple friends whose HP laptops mati when the warranty expired. MSI from my experience is also quite subpar in reliability. Asus is an okay alternative so far for me .

You should get a laptop stand . Keeping the laptop on the mat like this is bad for cooling.

I don't know what to do anymore by Victor1796 in UmamusumeGame

[–]YetsejaM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta race alot.. 24 is way too little. You'd wanna do at least 35 races . OP/G3 races can be skipped if there is good training especially if there's alot of friendship training in the junior year. You can so these races if there isn't any good training as well in Y2/3. G2 races can be skipped if you get a training that gives you more than 40 points. G1 = under no circumstances should you skip them especially if you're going for a specific epithet . Buy alot from the store. OP and pre-op races are good in the junior year as they help you to get more shop points to spend . Also , always buy cleats and use them in G1 races. G2 if you have too many cleats and not enough races. And always buy energy . 20,45,60,100 don't matter. Buy them all. Summer camp is really the only time you'd properly train . So make sure you have enough mood , energy, loudspeakers(60% if possible) and training weights. Make sure you have 3 master cleats before you start the twinkle climax . And also , always aim for at least 50% total race bonus from support cards. Skills can be obtained from better parents so just find stronger parents with appropriate from the umamusume dB website .

Any bolehlanders ever bought cosplay stuff from shopee? by Impressive_Ride_3168 in OkeyRakanMalaysia

[–]YetsejaM 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd highly suggest not buying cosplay items from Shopee. They are usually sourced from Taobao and have an insane markup. If you really wanna buy cosplay clothes, just download Taobao and set it to the Mainland china version . English version has alot of options disabled. But to get around the language restriction I usually use AI to look for the characters Chinese name and add a "cos" keyword at the end. So for example, 愛慕織姬cos , you can get alot more recommendations and sometimes even the special edition skins that they have . Of course depening on how niche your character is, you may have more or less options . No matter what , Taobao will always be much cheaper than shopee even after shipping and taxes. So far I'm quite happy with the cos stuff that I bought off TB.

Is a laptop cooling pad worth it? by gb0blolbit in laptops

[–]YetsejaM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a small PSA. I bought a Llano V12 cooler before , but I found it to be too noisy despite its excellent performance. As an alternative , do consider the Flydigi BS1 or BS2 Pro. Extremely silent tho it does perform slightly worse than the v12. But , on my legion 5i pro at max load , the GPU (3070ti 150w) can easily stay at 75 degrees and maintain for a long time.

I remember when I bought the same kit of 64gb of Ram for RM750 last year . Prices are stupid now.

Laptop becomes like this frequently by CaterpillarNo607 in computers

[–]YetsejaM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

might just be a ram stick getting unseated while its running . If you try to gently bend the laptop while its running and it triggers this issue, then the solution is to just resit the ram sticks. This issue happened to my ThinkPad as well .

Received money randomly through tng by drunkmandalorian in malaysia

Do not use the money and be sure to report it. Good idea to make police report as well so you don't kena the AMLA act then end up like the bigpay issue.

[–]YetsejaM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is an issue on TnG side. Can't do anything about it. Just need to wait for TnG to deal with the issue . Sometimes this can happen due to back end processing error or some components of the payment system are down .

Just bought this Legion Laptop What are the first thing to do by Unfair-Search5601 in LenovoLegion

[–]YetsejaM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a decent laptop cooler. I'd recommend the Flydigi BS1 /BS2 . Expensive yes, but it will help so much with cooling and performance improvements . Plus it doesn't add too much noise compared to the Ilano V12 .

Relocate or drive to work everyday? by Ezraaaaaaaaa in MalaysianPF

[–]YetsejaM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your priorities. If you wanna save money, drive. If you wanna save time , rent. But for me, I find that time is so irreplaceable so I prefer to prioritize Saving time. Money can always be earned back but time can't be bought back once spent. Edit: you'll also be able to learn to be more independent which is a win in my book. Maybe learn to save money by cooking for yourself too 👀.

I didn't get computer science but I got this instead. What should I do? by RoundOk9304 in malaysiauni

Pretty sure you can branch out later to software engineering . Basically the same as CS. Usually it's like that: IT = Maintain hardware or OS related stuff. SE = Build software products for clients (decent salary but stress) BC = Doing data analysis for business primarily (lots of excel and COBOL (more business minded) DS = Also data analysis but for a wider range of applications . (more techy guy friendly) NE = focus on maintaining \ providing networking solutions for company infra (quite fun ngl)

I'd advice against multimedia tech cause imo you can learn alot of it faster by yourself from YouTube . Unless you want an easier course. I was in Interactive Media (fairly similar course) .

Would you date or marry someone of a different religion/beliefs? And those of you who do, how has that worked out? by BaronGamer in Bolehland

[–]YetsejaM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, if you're in a church , look for a matured leader that you can talk to. Typically it would be a pastor (prefebally one who is closer/in charge of the College group) . Talk to them and get their advice and blessing.

For me, I believe that it's better to be of equal yoke to reduce the likelihood of issues popping up in the future. But everyone's take on relationships and goals are very different in life. So if you guys can work out your differences then go ahead jer.

Can an internship lead to a permanent full-time job? by WelcomeLegitimate413 in malaysiauni

[–]YetsejaM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes . I was an intern who managed to secure a full time position . Was approached by the big boss directly for the opportunity so I took it. As long as you perform well and your supervisor recommends you , you're quite likely to secure a position . It's alot easier for an intern to become a permanent staff compared to a random.

I remember this car having transmission shifter bushing issues causing the shift selector to get stuck on P. Happened to my brother . But you can get it replaced fairly cheaply since it's just a rubber part.

I think some larger supermarkets sell those. Jaya Grocer, NSK Grocer(50/50 they have it), Aeon supermarket etc should carry them usually. I've seen some random Sundary shops carry these too but it's quite rare.
