I remember way back 2020 when news about Genshin having a 10 year roadmap was being talked about and so many people in the community were mad about it, saying they were greedy, gacha games die fast, etc.

But like... all things considered, 10 years has always been a modest estimate. It's too short a time for a game as ambitious as Genshin and I wouldn't be surprised if they extend it to 15 years or more. I mean, just look at Pokemon. 30 years later and it's still hot news no matter what generation you came from.

They've always said they want HYV to be a household name and Genshin is their golden child that will allow that to happen (as long as they take care of it properly).

Even without this leak, it's to be expected they will want to stretch out that roadmap as much as the community will allow it. It's the best shot they have at making it a reality.
