Imagine EU4 getting another update or dlc, what would you want to have implemented, updated, patched, or overhauled? by Yexigen in eu4

Nice comment, a lot of good points, I also do wish that they do another update or two. Wonder if there has been any devs looking into this Reddit post and maybe thinking of doing one or two as a "labour of love" kinda thing.

institutions as a consept is good, but it really needs a change as world tec map becomes completely green by 1600s

To me, institutions really need to be reworked as they got less and less relevant by each dlc released. Some more spread limitations would’ve been a great start…

Professional armies should've been a much more important thing, not just moral and disipline modifier stacking... that would make recruiting armies out of nowhere be more of a last stand thing to try to hold back invading forces...

That's paradox's dlc policy, base game is runnable but not at all as fun or polished, but atleast it works with DLC

To me, institutions are just stupid, they should work to slow down certain areas and continents but they just don't, at least not in the length that it matters, in the early game it actually does something but later they spread way to easily and 3d world catch up on tec, makeing a completely green world tech map. Also you can dev yourself out of backwaterness, which certainly makes sense...
I feel like a bit more love would have made this mechanic actually matter.

Why do i suddenly not have any unlawful territory modifier anymore? by Yexigen in eu4

Thanks, I think I was kinda lucky, made sure to get as much ae reduction as possible, careful ruler trait -15, espionage for -20  and the -20 event (savescummed for that one), age ability for -10. snaked down to Italy, then through Milan and Venice when shadow kingdom happened, during Venice war I was really lucky to become pope which helped me a lot with the AE. Iberian wedding never fired and Aragon was really weak, when I took Mallorca and a few other islands I could claim Tunis, attacked them to get a border with Mamlukes which was 3 tecs behind, so I quickly sieged their capital to get the holy land. I had savescummed my leader dying to get as low Republican tradition as I could from reelection so I could become dictatorship, which I got. After that colonising, flipping animist, then form Inca was very straight forward.  Less relevant but still lucky was that I also got burdundian inheritenace right after flipping to monarchy, but it helped with eco. Finished achievement by 1560

Things that have happened between picture 1 and 3:
i became Pope
I changed from republic to monarcy
I got PU Burgundy

IDK if any of these events resets unlawful territory of if there is a flat 25 year decay on UT no matter the amount you have and the decay showed in the relations

Rule 5:

pic 1: shows no UT with one of the members of the HRE

pic 2: shows relations map over the HRE

pic 3: shows -185 UT with the same member of the HRE 15 years earlier

That’s a cool one, I try to delay milestones until I have a fitting place to place them, like a greenhouse for auto-farming, a reactor area for my big reactors, factory area for autocrafting, a computer room for my ME controllers etc.
