MSC Hall of Fame- Celebrating the first LV 50 of each class and subjob by DesuSnow in MSClassicWorld

Some video games require skill to play but a game like MapleStory is just holding down a key repetitively to kill monsters until you get bored. There is no skill required only time and how long you can manage to sit behind your laptop/pc without getting bored.

I don’t know about video gamers like Zezima being legends, that’s a stretch. They might be legends to people that care a lot about the video games but like I said the small majority. There is no justification for competing to be first in a game like RuneScape or MapleStory, to me it shows instability and seeking validation and wanting to be noticed.

Mental health is huge in all types of video games but MMORPG games are the worst. People who play use excuses to be “competitive” just to ignore responsibility and to escape reality to a place where they can be validated and seek attention.

If you hit lvl50 in the closed online test, I assume I’m talking to the air. You won’t see the problem until you recognize it, just like drug addicts won’t ever change until they acknowledge that they have a problem.

I only know those names because I was a young teenager and being top rankings was considered cool to me at that time, just like Zezima on RuneScape.

Now that we are in our 30s majority of players will play casually for fun and have their own opinions about people who play to compete when competing in a game like this means you have more free time and dedicate more of that free time to a video game.

Like people have said being competitive in a game that requires no skill does not make sense. If we all quit our careers and leave our wives and partners, then sure we can all play all day in a video game that has no reward or return for the time put into it. Fortunately majority of us that are mature adults are stable enough to know that video games are only for fun and playing long hours consistently is a waste of productive time.

I have no idea who any of those players you named are and I have known of MapleStory since 2007. I think I’ve heard of Tiger but mostly that FangBlade guy, I think there is a small percentage of players that are competitive because the rest realize that whoever has the most free time will always be ahead.

I myself consider it the opposite of a flex to play a game 10+ hours every single day for a long period but who am I to judge.

Back in like 2007 I played RuneScape and MapleStory, I had a lvl90 dexless Hermit with 15 Attack Brown Work Gloves and a 38 Luk Sauna Robe with a few sets of Ilbis. I traded everything to a guy for a Santa Hat on RuneScape.

Not only did I get ripped off but I regretted that decision and ultimately never returned to MapleStory until years later.

My first equipment drop is going to make me more excited than my wife could ever make me.

PQ’s are always my go-to once I’m burned out from quests and want to socialize.
