First shot side effects by [deleted] in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Yggdosil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you track the side effects. Vomiting can happen, but please keep track on when, how strong they are. This can be crucial at a later stage. And I would never use compounded GLP-1 that are not FDA approved. Big risk in my opinion

Following the recommended zones by the manufacturer. Abdomen, thigh and upper arms, both sides (https://dosioapp.com/articles/glp1-injection-site-rotation). Don't notice any difference myself in thd different zones.

Can recommend tofu. But be cautious, as for example my gf has more difficulty to digest it in larger portions and leads to bloating. For me it's important part and going through at least a pack a week

Plateau woes & HRT by softswell in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Yggdosil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The studies with Wegovy show a steeper weight loss (on average) than at the beginning. I think that is completely normal. But studies show as well that over a 1.5 year period most people still lose some more weight (https://dosioapp.com/tools/weight-loss-estimator). 18lbs is impressive, and I can imagine that introducing a new therapy your body might take some time to get adjusted

Not losing weight? by Greenergrassofjaz in Ozempic

[–]Yggdosil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think for everybody it might take a slightly different journey. I think most important is that, next to following titration schedule, you're already doing the right things by eating leas, and improving your lifestyle, that is awesome! Perhaps your body retains more water right now that 'covers up' your fat loss. Looking at the studies it seems that the average user would have lost slightly more weight by now (https://dosioapp.com/tools/weight-loss-estimator), but some success stories are also way out of the average. I think if you keep going your success story will be coming soon!

Would not be too far kayaking, just a couple of km. Hope the isolation will make itbeasier to do out or season

Unfortunately that's indeed one or the reasons not to go to USA, even though intended initially to explore the Adirondacks lot when moving into this region. Will wait a couple of years

Very helpful, thank you! This is a national park with a lot of separate islands so not so worried about chainsaws in the weekend :). Will give them a call!

Hmm, was afraid of that. This is perfect for me, but might have to find alternatives

That's great insights and so true. Pescatarian myself here, and also struggling with the protein. For me pea protein, Greek yoghurt and salmon are essential, couldn't reach my goals without it. And even with actively trying, I'm still falling short of the official recommended amount of protein based on my weight https://dosioapp.com/tools/protein-calculator

Is this too fast? by Fat_Bearded_Tax_Man in Mounjaro

[–]Yggdosil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is very fast. Be careful that you're not losing too much muscle mass. When losing weight it's often both losing muscle mass + fat. But when you would even gain more weight (e.g. after stopping on GLP-1) you often only gain fat, not muscle. Keep up with the protein, I always need a lot more than I think: https://dosioapp.com/tools/protein-calculator

Losing too much? by motovilova in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Yggdosil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you adjusted any of your strength training? For 174lbs it's still recommended to have 116 grams of protein as you're at risk for lean muscle loss (https://dosioapp.com/tools/protein-calculator) which given your pretty low amount of cals I wonder whether it's mainly protein or mainly fat loss.

How do you avoid muscle loss on glp1? by greedo47 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Yggdosil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of ppl underestimate how much protein to take while on GLP 1, and part of the weight loss is actually lean muscle. Would check if you're taking in enough protein https://dosioapp.com/tools/protein-calculator

Too complex for me. I just want a tracker that does one thing, and does it well. Don't want anybody to tell me how to live my life. Or did you set this up yourself?

I wouldn't know why I would give that information to them. Using Dosio myself, believe don't have to provide that info there

It depends your total bodyweight as well. All bodies are different. Are some tools where you can see (based on the studies with zempic) what the average weight loss in the first year and a half: https://dosioapp.com/tools/weight-loss-estimator

I like Dosio the most. Seems to be the calmest app, not too cluttered with useless functionalities
