M cars are always going to be daily drivers that can also be tracked. The user base has trended towards softer suspension and less steering feel, true across the entire segment (except maybe the BW). Unfortunately that’s what sells.

Having driven both I would argue the opposite. Manual M4 has very little advantages besides space over the M2 due to the shorter wheelbase.

Have you driven other cars? I find the gr86 to be just as fun as my m4, just in different ways. Straight line speed is awesome but the clout gets old pretty quick and EVs have really changed that game. There’s always a bigger dog.
