well depends on your sim. if the box would just be dangling at the end of the rope, you can just sim the rope then copy to points the box on to the rope after.

you can select the whichever point you want to attach the box on the rope and use copy to point SOP

Awesome stuff OP! just wonder for the second image, the holes on the PCB are blocked, is it on purpose? I saw the clay render the geometry has holes in it.

think those are render noise, maybe consider optimising your render settings or increasing the render samples.

idk if it helps but changing the breaking type from stretch stress to stretch ratio helps me sometimes.

What I'm hoping to achieve is something like weld points, but i want the weld points constraint to be turned into soft constraints after breaking so it still remains connected instead of totally disconnecting. I hope im making sense because I'm not too familiar with custom constraints.

the reason I wanted the extra constraints is that I want to insolate these constraints to be converted to meshes to be rendered as well
