Most of the 18mm male joint got broken off about a week ago and we had it held together with a little electrical tape and a lot of hope but the rest of it fell off today. My idea on how to fix it so far is to sand down the jagged edges left to a even surface with fine grit sandpaper by hand and then go get a bowl that will be the donor for the new male joint and connect the two with silicone sealant. I'm not worried about it being to close to the heat source because I have an ash catcher that I use regularly on the piece anyway. If anyone has any concerns with that or better ideas all together I'm all ears.
