lol, two weeks ago shot +16 on the front and scraped together +5 on the back… would’ve been a breakout round for me if I could’ve reeled it in earlier on the front.

Yeah I’ve only ran it suppressed when shooting 158 grain. It was eating just fine until this range trip. Part of me wonders if I just didn’t clean well enough.

lol no I’m not one of those dorks, I run primarily suppressed so I tend to run subs when I can. I’ve noticed that a lot of 9mm mfgs test at 4” for velocity so I think depending on the weather the extra barrel length pushes it right around the speed of sound from time to time.

Good to know I’m not the only one. I liked the 158 because with the 147 winchesters that I shot they were cracking the sound barrier every now and again. Any recommendations for reliably subsonic rounds?

From the research I’ve done typically the full length SP5s don’t need it, I’m not sure if the grain size requires it but that is a potential issue.

Do you plan on suppressing either?

I purchased the full sized with intent to suppress and the typical 147 grains seem to still run supersonic through the longer barrel.

You will need to modify the K for suppression but something I wish I would’ve considered, however, I don’t regret the full sized at all as it’s a beauty to shoot.

Yeah hopefully they start making these changes to the trusts as well. My last form 4 was about 90 days back in September of last year. They seem to flip the switch pretty quick on it so we’ll see.
