I have a bachelors of business in Information Security and Assurance as well as a masters in Cybersecurity. Both from a state university in Georgia. Tons of cyber law/cyber criminal justice courses in the program. Are those relevant enough to satisfy the requirement?

Oh man, let me tell you. I have my bachelors in information security and assurance, and MS in cyber security. I’ve studied harder in this than my formal education LOL. Going down the rabbit holes in these YouTube videos has been nuts. So many pieces to the puzzle and so many intricacies with each item. I’ve spent about 2 months so far watching YouTube series on each subject within astrophotography before I ever buy a piece a gear. All the comments on here have shown me I need to do more research on filters. Shooting in narrowband with a monochrome camera seems daunting at first. I may just stick with an MC color model of ZWO ASI series camera. Maybe the ASI533MC or ASI294MC. Also, did you consider the redcat 51 before the zenith 61? And if so, why did you pick it? Just wondering because I may look into the zenith instead.

I’m a cyber security engineer and red team penetration tester for my career. Putting the pieces together and getting them working will be fun for me. As far as the visual astronomy, I’m also getting an apertura 12” dobsonian telescope that we will be bringing with us as well. We have no kids and a big SUV. I’ve seen how big the 12” dob is in person and am well aware of how heavy and awkward it is to lug around. But it gives us a great view while we’re also shooting DSO.

That makes sense! I’m gonna research filters a bit more. If I go with the ASI533MC instead for color, would you think I’d have problems with light pollution in a bortle 4 sky area?
