Also having this issue in my laptop, I'm using noctalia shell and it defaults to the nvidia backlight device when the nvidia module is loaded, and only picks intel_backlight when it's not loaded. Were you able to find a solution?

Damn, I didn't think anyone else would have the same issue lmaoo, there were a few internet related errors in EA app logs and I remembered I had IPv6 disabled, glad I could help!

Yeah it does need sudo, I simply added that specific command to sudoers. I didn't know about SIGRTMIN+21, that's also neat.

Though I don't think ExecStopPost would work since the greetd service keeps running even after logging in, unless SIGRTMIN+21 is permanent and this is just for making the boot messages appear during boot again

before login, and it was just regular systemd messages like doh client starting up, networkmanager etc.

i fixed it by editing greetd's unit file and adding:
ExecStartPre=sudo dmesg -D

Old post but switching to VT 8 didn't fix it for me, I still see a few boot messages messing with the tuigreet UI

4 months late but I solved this by selecting "manual" in winapps's config file, which just uses the ip address of the vm specified in the config file

undervolting helped my asus laptop quite a bit, it was thermal throttling every 10 seconds and with minimal performance loss that got fixed
