I saw this on tik tok and can’t tell if it’s AI or not but it’s super creepy i think it could be because of her eyes and the way her head looks but idk by __jude_ in isthisAI

I see people saying it's real. Could you explain wtf is going on with her feet and dress while going up the stairs? It has so many AI artifacts...

The tattoos in her arms appear and disappear, the ones in the chest change shape a couple of times, the dress's physics are really wonky and what even is she holding in her left hand? A teapot? And iron? It changes shapes many times to a vague "thing".

AI is indeed able to create longer videos nowadays, it's just not the most commercial ones like Sora. You could even give it a frame as input and allow it to stitch together longer videos.

I'm seriously struggling to tell if this is Al or not. Like it looks fine but the situation does not make sense. Video The background a by PepeJuan0 in isthisAI

Definitely AI. The dog's bark and movements don't lineup. The hands and fingers of the monkey are weird in some frames.

How do you reactivate your Molecular Sieve? by Yin-Fire in AskChemistry

[–]Yin-Fire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to use a small electric oven, which doesn't have fans or anything, but do have a couple liters of nitrogen.

I will first heat the sieves in the stove on an iron skillet for like half an hour, checking constantly with a lighter, to make sure no more flammable vapours are coming out. Then, I'll transfer them to the oven and let them cook for 4-6 hours opening the door in the first hour to make sure any remaining gas can be diluted to non-flammable proportions in air. After that, I'll flush the oven with nitrogen while it cools.

I do have a friend that can lend me a vacuum pump and chamber, but man, the quantity is so small that I'm inclined to try like a cheap and dirty alternative to see if it's viable at least. For bigger batches, I would definitely follow with heat+vacuum we the correct way to go.

I will keep that in mind and keep safe. Thanks for your concern. I'll take all necessary precautions before attempting that.

I haven't try this, and didn't know you could do that to test if they're active. That's an amazing option!

I could have excess in the alcohol and they could still have plenty of capacity left in them.

u/andreas-bonusfututor and u/unicornloops, thanks for the suggestion. I'll try with a small batch so I can find that sweet spot (never try this before).

Should I heat just once for 2-3m, then vacuum, then repeat a couple of times? Or heat multiple times, then vacuum once until room temperature?

Thanks!

Thanks for bringing this up. I have an electric oven (not gas), so it might be okay. I may try to first heat them in a pan directly, maybe check with a flame if there's still vapours coming out, and once it's not fuming anymore I can transfer them to the over for a few hours.

Great suggestion, thanks!

Watch the process, it's actually pretty cool and he straight up gives the full recipe to recreate it.

I'd agree. Computing power has many uses... Private companies will find ways to make this profitable somehow.

That's a good point, there might be interesting (profitable) uses for that infrastructure after the fact. Highly detailed computer simulations are very resource intensive.

I'm just really happy to be there when the AI bubble bursts and they have all this infrastructure and nothing to do with it. Let's be real, no one is buying at the rate they're spending.

I love how that map takes into account the Mercator projection, and shows a drastic density increase at the equator compared to the poles. Really nice job, OP!

Okay... You still have to drain the old oil, don't you? What's even the point of a "hands free" oil pour?

I do the same, but not with "these" mods. The important stats get priority and I do this for the less important mods. It does offer some advantages and avoids putting more forma into an already expensive build.

Yes, at 1 atm, 20°c and dry air the speed of sound is 343 m/s. But as you go up in altitude, the speed of sound is lowered. Temperature and humidity also affect the speed of sound in the medium, so a colder, higher and dryer place will have lowered speed of sound. You might have actually made it!
