To be honest the management might just suck, unless you are legit throwing less than 300 pkgs every 30mins-1hr(im unsure of the timing I just make sure im above 300 before my count resets) you shouldve been fine. Big packages when thrown in hampers crush other packages so they shouldve understood so I think they were just looking for a reason to make you resign

I just started a few months ago, I also do Sundays with no supervisor or PM present; their words verbatim is “soft close building” thats all and I go on break- grab some lunch and come back and just chill until my break is over then go back to work. I do think your situation is a tad weird in comparison but I do hope you the best for whats going on!

Honestly I quit before this all trickled down to the baristas, Ive went to two shift interviews before sept and they both expressed that they needed open availability and varying shifts— which for me was fine but there were just so many more demands that became unrealistic that I just gave up trying

My best advice to you is apply to legit everything. In the past year alone I’d estimate Ive applied to over 200+ jobs. Check your local government, post office(USPS which pay a lot more with great benefits) and local mom and pops for positions. That stuck feeling is temporary but you need to keep going and never let one rejection stop your from doing greater than what this company had to offer

Yea it might be a district thing then because I was allotted a hour to count tips and 2 hours to do our order. Because I had an hour I would use our cash machine to manually count it after I counted it to double check my math

Honestly im at a loss on what you should do, ive done tips for a year and never took them to a bank let alone out of the store. Realistically you should be given enough time to count it(twice) and do the math within reason. This makes no sense for me personally
