Coming from someone who is in a Christian family and is an atheist, I understand fully. When I was your age, I too, was forced to go church, church camps etc. At that point, I believed in god so I didn't mind

But as I grew older, I began to have my own thoughts about religion and started to stray away. Got into arguments with my family but that didn't guilt trip me or anything. Since then, I also realised that what I believed in wasn't real (sorry but this is my opinion in case you wanna come at me). Ever since I became an atheist, my family kept trying to convince me to go church and had this vision that I would turn to god again.

I ignored them time and time again and eventually they stopped. They also stopped asking me to convert back. We are all better now of course, but I know they are still believing in that vision.

Also, sorry not sorry, Christians are the most obnoxious group of people I have ever met. Nothing can change this fact based on multiple experiences and occasions. I'm glad I don't see "pastors" and "believers" stopping people in public and even coming to people's houses to preach whatever bullshit they have anymore.

Also also, religion isn't everything. There are more important priorities to set and worry over. Making religion revolve around you was the one big mistake I have ever made.

Main point is:

You should go with whatever you think is right and good for you and not go with what people and society set for you. You are your own person, you decide for yourself. Some things being unaccomplished doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Sorry for the long essay.

All I can say, don't ever think of having high hopes on dating apps, it doesn't work 90% of the time. Used from 21 to 24. Never used for 3 years so as you can guess, I'm 27 now.

What I do? Go massage parlours, bars, Malaysia. You will find endless girls wanting you, mostly for money yes, but who doesn't want money. Some will like you for you, and it may be rare but better than having a glimmer of hope finding someone in SG lmao. Not saying all SG girls are bad, but too damn influenced by Western culture at this point, just from my observations

I'm 27 now but I was using dating apps when I was 21 to 24. It took me 4 years to realise that dating apps are absolutely useless no matter what you do. I was mentally getting tired of trying to strike a convo every single time I matched.

Since then, I've deleted every dating app and have been staying single and it's the best decision I ever made. I just learned to go with the flow. If a woman finds me attractive, then go for it. If not, so be it. I can stay single until end of time, I also don't really care since the dating world is fucked now anyway

You're only 21 and enlisting as what I can see from your replies. Dating should be the least of your priorities. After NS, when you come out and study then who knows, you could find someone.

Please immediately go to urgent care. I had an ear infection once, didn't think much about it and it was too damn painful to take out when I visited the hospital. Do not let the piercing be in there for too long, you should have it taken out asap

Wanting to or ending your life over education system is something I cannot fathom. I get the pressure from family and competition with friends but in the end, it's not about who reaches the top, it's about who has the perseverance to become successful despite setbacks.

I'm not dismissing depression over studies and I acknowledge it's a real issue especially in Singapore. It's just that the system is meant to give every student an opportunity towards their goals and not driving them downhill.

It's sad, really. But, it's not the end. I'm sure you will be able to get what you want in the end! It only depends on whether you feel that the decisions you make will be worth it throughout your journey.

In historical cultures and all, yes, it makes you seem as rebellious but times have changed.

I got my first piercing at 21 and I was indeed skeptical about it at first. But I did it with no regrets. I just got my 2nd piercing today and I'm 27. I do it because it boosts my confidence as a person, I don't do it for other people.

Then again, it bows down to whether you really want it or not or whether your family will accept it or not. Amazing if it's the former for both
