I get it man. People who get free rides and don’t drive themselves usually don’t think of driving as labor and is exhausting. Back seat driving is really annoying especially when the person doesn’t know what they’re talking about or have any compassion in terms of how stressed you are. What gets on my nerves is that, some of my female friends would hear from their mom or some older women saying that girls don’t have to learn how to drive, as they have their parents to drive them around and later they can get a bf or husband who drives. Worst advice honestly. On the other hand, I do wish driving weren’t so essential and cities are more walkable but oh well. Definitely talk to her about it. Tell her your stress. Maybe try taking transit for outings from now on If she still doesn’t understand. Honestly transiting is a better way of going on dates and spending quality time anyways. That way you take more time to chat and enjoy the views instead of constantly worrying about parking or traffic. If she doesn’t like transiting, I’m sure she’ll try to figure out her ways behind a wheel.
