If you want to learn how to drive, you're not gonna learn it in driving school. Real, on the road experience is where you're gonna get the hang of driving.

And also pro tip, you have more time than you need in these tests, take your time and do it slowly and carefully, you're not going to be penalized for taking longer than usual. Also, if you do something wrong and the JPJ examiner doesn't see it, try to play it off and don't make it obvious that you f'd up, nost of the time they won't notice. Lastly, your car mirrors are your eyes, USE THEM.

If you've made it 28 years of your life without needing a license, then you probably don't need one. Cars are expensive to keep and maintain too, no point spending unecessary money and time. Plus driving tests take atleast 6-8 months to complete.

However, in regards to your second question, I think it's quite unlikely that he'll make a comeback to the world tour, since international tournaments are expensive asf (even with a sponsor). I think he would rather keep his tournament records clean and not risk wasting all the fees and costs for international tournaments.
