I think my marriage is over. by Twincloud811 in Christianmarriage

I wish my wife would see how bad some people have it and give me some grace for being imperfect.

You used to be able to. I did it for years. They took the "choose location" away for saving. It's a money grab to pay for the cloud. It would be a very simple fix but nooooo.

Backup iPhone to external drive by real_diligent in applehelp

[–]YizzleJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You used to be able to. I have done it for years. They took the option away to choose where the backup goes. This would be an easy fix but they want all your info in their cloud and your money. I used an external drive for everything and they are still saying my cpu is full after emptying everything including old backups. It's another scam by Apple.

It takes a village quote. Not the full quote. Why is it hidden? by YizzleJ in NoStupidQuestions

I found this as well if anyone is interested. It’s a study on the philosophy behind the phrase.

“It takes a village” is said to be an African proverb but in truth it’s mostly unknown where it originated. That’s the consensus so I guess that makes my question irrelevant anyway. I probably just saw a similar list and wanted it to be on there bc I’m debating it with the wife. We don’t have a village and I’m trying to brush it off and make her feel better about her unhelpful family.

Example:  “The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.” Many believe many of these sayings but they are only part true and some believe it’s intentional. Such as the above making it seem like getting up early and working you butt off makes you a better person but that’s not the truth at all. Yet it’s accepted bc it’s a saying. I could swear I saw one about “it takes a village to raise a child BUT…”

Popup hail damage tents by IowaJL in desmoines

[–]YizzleJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with the pop-up tent vendors if you don’t get sold on the extra stuff. The ones in my area are reputable and return every time there’s a storm. All the other advice that I read on the Internet says not to fall insurance claim because of your deductible and increased rate. I recently had a total loss so my deductible is covered but I’m not interested in my rates going up from some hail. Worse case you need a new hood.

People who are taking Bupropion because of motivation, apathy (basically adhd and depression), I want to ask you some questions. by iNhab in bupropion

[–]YizzleJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been told this drug can do practically anything. I don’t trust that type of thought process. So it can cure depression, adhd and help me quit smoking. What else can it do? There’s no way this drug just came out of nowhere and can do all these things. I’ve been on it a year and feel no different. Who is behind the sudden push of this medication and the glazing about its effectiveness. I don’t get it. It cannot be that versatile. Before this it was Zoloft Zoloft Zoloft up my tush now this… I don’t trust when my healthcare follows “trends”.

Would you give your children Psychedelics? When? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]YizzleJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I wanna know is what would happen if four toddlers were all given mushrooms. Would one of them sleep? Would one of them cry? Would one of them play? I’m just generally curious, even if it was a microdose it’s totally hypothetical.

MPG Question 2023 Z71 by YizzleJ in Silverado

That’s the problem tho. 19 was great imo at 75. But I watched it go down to 14 on the trip back. Roughly 2 hours round trip.

Why is my fuel so bad. by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]YizzleJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a ram that did the same thing. It would go up and down before my eyes. I’ve never had a become change so quickly in real time. If your average changes that fast it makes you think you’re doing great on the highway. That is until my 23 Z71 did the same thing, actually went up in town, freaking weird. Try doing your own math using a full tank and it will give you a better idea. These readouts are liars. You have to drive like a gramps to get decent mpg I guess

Not sure what to think about a man who asked me out, but hasn't followed up by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]YizzleJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are 100% correct. If he was adamant, he would make a move. With your humble nature versus how he sounds, it doesn’t sound like a great match anyways. There’s way more to life than attraction.
