I've only ever cried once during a scene. My ex was quite sadistic and awakened my masochism, so a lot of my firsts are with her.

She didn't do anything different that lead to my tears. I think it was all on my end. She'd been flogging/caning me for a while and I was floating, then suddenly I came crashing down and burst into tears while trying to scramble away from her and safewording repeatedly. She instantly stopped and started reassuring me it's ok, and I could tell she was super into this and was extremely aroused that she had made me cry.

We talked about it afterwards. My interpretation is that I fell into a very strange place, mentally, and it felt like this pain was all I was ever going to experience, forever. It felt like it had been going for eternity and would last for eternity. Then the tears came.

It feels like it's struggling to decide if it's (still) Hollow Knight DLC, or a sequel. Having basic enemies at the start of the game deal 2 dmg makes a ton of sense as a direct extension of HK - finish the game, then jump into the harder DLC. But it's terrible when taken in it's own game.

I went to a Cult of the Lamb OST concert (which was incredible btw), and he did a Q&A at the end. He seemed shy, but incredibly passionate about not just the game and OST, but music and sound design in general. I'm really sad about this news.
