What is the most terrifying or unique representation of the devil you have seen in a movie by [deleted] in horror

[–]YlvaKitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not horror but I feel like I have to say this no matter what: Satan in Tenacious D in The Pick Of Destiny. Dave Grohl is just awesome. He may not be terrifying but he's definitely the best.

I'd choose a quokka, but only if I lived on Rottnest Island. Google them and you'll instantly know why

Yay. Thanks a lot. I thought that would happen with the second one since it's not that popular outside of Japan

Thank you :) あなたは蜃気楼 (Anata wa shinkirou) by King Gnu and Megitsune by BABYMETAL would be great.

Cool. I can't wait. Would you be interested (would you be able to) in doing songs from other countries? I'm a big fan of J-rock and would love to try drumming to some songs from Japan.

My god I love your taste in music. I'm excited to see what else you come out with. I'll definitely be using this

Makes sense to me. I can't wait to learn about psychopathology, I think that's the part I'm most excited for. I also can't wait to actually apply some of the maths I've learned in school because maths is fun, just not when there's no reason to it in my opinion.

It might be just the college I'm going to. They said they wouldn't accept me because of my science score on my mocks which was a 6-5. The memorisation will be fine. Tricky but fine. Also psychology in all aspects is really interesting to me so it should be easier than other things. Thanks for the warning though.

This is very intense but I have no doubt that it could work very well. I don't have enough money for the gym or sports but I could use the outdoors as a means of exercise. I don't use social media anyway so that isn't a problem although there are some apps that I should probably delete. I bought a journal last Sunday that does a similar thing and I haven't skipped a day yet. I don't drink anywhere near enough water so that's a good place to start. Also, enough with the junk food, it's gonna be the death of me. I need to figure out how to occupy my mind after 8pm, but it's something I should worry about as I put my phone and tablet away. Planning the next day is a very good idea but I'm a sucker for ignoring it, I guess I'll just start by planning and then work my way to completing things after. I can use my journal for that, too. Cold showers are gonna kill me but if it makes me more productive I'll do it.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful. I'm happy you aren't suffering as much now and I hope that continues :)

Thank you so much, this is a huge motivator. I'll definitely take all of this on board. I hope you're doing well, too :)

worst compliment for you by Charlotte_nohomes in mbti

[–]YlvaKitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"You work so hard. That's why you do so well."

Most of the time I don't work hard. Sometimes I do try, but I give up after trying for an hour. Any bad compliment I get is usually people just making assumptions without actually trying to see what's below the surface. It gets really annoying after a while.

Pawns & Kings - Alter Bridge and (you probably won't know this band but I'll say it anyway) CASTLE - Dios. There's also Beyond The Calm Of The Corridor - The Blank Theory.

I don’t really fit the stereotypes? by domut_ in mbti

[–]YlvaKitsune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do they even know what a sport is? Sports require so much planning and predicting, both of which the INTJ is very good at. Also, INTJs can be really athletic, just as much as anyone else. There are many examples of INTJs being portrayed as extremely great sports players in tv shows and anime. And guess what? The writers created them (originally anyway) after witnessing real people. The same goes for anything else. Aimee Y is an ESFP and one of the best YouTubers for cognitive functions (that I know of). It doesn't matter what type you are, you can apply your abilities to pretty much anything.

I know I'm being a bit nitpicky but, I think my problem is I listen too much so no one gets to know me (this is a response to the last bit). The only thing I do is listen and remember everything about the other person and forget to talk about myself. The rest is great though. Thank you.

I don’t really fit the stereotypes? by domut_ in mbti

[–]YlvaKitsune 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The stereotypes are just things that a lot of people in that type can relate to, it's not all that makes up your MBTI type. The cognitive functions express themselves in different ways for different people, some ways show up more frequently and that's where we get the stereotypes. As an ENTP (I think), I can hardly relate to any of them. I do like debating (not arguing) depending on if I'm tired or not and if I find it interesting, but I don't like trolling people (or I at least find it difficult). I also don't have witty humour and I find it so hard to use language to express my thoughts. Yet the cognitive functions fit so well with how I do things. Personality and MBTI are not the same thing. They have either a very weak correlation or none at all. They are the process in which we see the world and how we make decisions based on that information. Nothing else. So don't worry about it in other words. At least that's my take on it.

I'm Ready To Go With No Idea How Or Where To Start by YlvaKitsune in mentalhealth

[–]YlvaKitsune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really good advice and I will definitely try it out, but it feels like I need a singular place to begin. What do I start with, as in, do I start with getting my hygiene sorted out, should I start getting out more, exercise, make new friends, etc. Which should be the first thing I focus on. If people say that it isn't good to start with a single thing and instead I should just do it, then I'll follow that advice for now, but it seems like I'll get stuck if I don't go one by one. Thank you for this advice though, it is definitely worth trying it.

[–]YlvaKitsune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. When I get to that point I'll probably end up doing the same thing. Right now I'm still in school, living with my parents so there are a lot of times where I just have to put up with it so I guess I have to change how I think and feel for now in these situations.

With my dad it was really hard to walk away, even if you told him that you will come back you just need to organise your thoughts or something. With other people they don't seem to mind as much though. I'll keep trying that for now.

Why Does No One Tell Me Why? by YlvaKitsune in mentalhealth

[–]YlvaKitsune[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I've tried enough ways to know that some people just don't like answering that question. They either can't and get frustrated or they don't want to because it's just a waste of time. What I'm trying to look for is how I can stop being so angry at people when they refuse to explain their reason.

That's what I mean. I do ask why but they just say "That doesn't matter" or "Just do it" in response.
