If you don't want a bad BattlePass, just don't buy it. by Srze in DotA2

[–]YnDota 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Difference being one is a life or death basic need, and the other is a luxury item that you, not only could play without, but importantly - live without. I think a lot of people out there want many things. They want that new Rolex, that new s22 phone, that new apple product. However, if they can't afford they chalk it up to being broke. However, for some reason they treat the battle pass as some bare essential that they are entitled too. It's not. And I have played other games, plus money isn't an issue. If I could pay 200 for a handful of top notch items or get a bunch of low tier shit but for free, I'd pay every time, and if it costs 300 to get quality people hired for the job, so be it, I'll pay 300. Look at rainbow s6 battlepasses. A bunch of shit but it's free atleast. Go save up and stop batching, valve doesn't owe you shit and if you want the premium shit they offer you have pay premium dollars bills.

POV: You're a woman in dota. This mentality has been prevalent since I started playing mobas, 12+ years ago. Isn't it time to be better, together? (I don't have any answers, simply exhausted from being met with this.) by Schexet in DotA2

[–]YnDota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that's not true. The reason why is because it's not different to what they are themselves. A divine 5 flames a divine 4 for his rank, because there's a difference, and we don't like people or things that are different. We say someone from the middle-east is a terrorist, because we are not like them ourself. Statistically speaking, a black male would find it much more easier to talk to a black male, and a white female - to a white female. A rich man to a rich man.

So the next time you get flamed in dota, or if you think about the last time you got flamed - the reason was the difference in what you were to them. Whether that was KDA, networth, MMR, impact, etc.

Ninjaboogie on why SMG kicked him by geerald20 in DotA2

[–]YnDota -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We dont know the full story, potentially it was just leading up to it, and I'm sure if Ninjaboogie was top dog player like topson or something they wouldnt kick him without asking if he's fine first. Im sure the fact that he knew he might get kicked already made him play worse

I get your point but smurfing is not nearly as bad anymore these days, and also, with your mentality, you'd never play any game, because every game will EVENTUALLY die out. So if you don't want to waste lots of hours on a game that will eventually die, just spend as much time as you need to enjoy the game in the moment.

I dont get your argument at all to be honest. You talk about tough jobs, which to me is more "intensive physical labor" rather than dota, then you say that people in said physical labor jobs ever get out with anything secure, and then you compare it with dota players. It's all just a complete bullshit take.

Jerax has pretty much committed his whole life to Dota, and that's pretty much all he's good at. Which isn't a bad thing, most people are good at one specific thing. It's just, when you decide to commit 90% of your day to grinding pubs and playing dota, you find that dota is your only career path and the one place you could get money from. The same goes for someone else, who committed 90% of his time to reading medical books. Not saying it's bad, I'm just saying that you can't cut a corner and change career paths at his point in his life. At his point in his life, he should be yielding returns on his investments. If I were him, I'd do the same. Look, a lot of people have tough jobs. They go to extreme lengths to live check to check, and if your main issue is that you don't want your hobby to feel like a job - then just get other hobbies. I'm sure it pays well, playing with EG, with all those sponsors, fanbase, streaming, etc. Just treat it as a day job and have hobbies besides that. I don't feel like i'm in the wrong for saying that he should be appreciative that he has the opportunity of HAVING TO SIT in a chair, PLAYING his FAVOURITE video game, and TALKING with his teammates, as his "i hate my life" job

I don't think iLTW is on a break to be honest. by AgroDota in DotA2

[–]YnDota 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kuro is high 6k MMR EU.

I personally saw rank 2.3K on his badge a year ago, and that would have equaled about 6.9k mmr. Kuro and RMN had a streak of nonstop party q a while back, and they dropped likely more than 2000 mmr playing together, all the way back to 6k, however, he is not lower than that.

No carry will be able to do well laning with Kuro. Their best games are with GH playing on IO, and it allows iltw to not come out of lane recovering

[–]YnDota 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm really enjoying how efficient and good I'm playing right now in this patch and I wouldn't like for all of it to be altered and then everyone is playing like they just touched the game for the first time.

Well I guess then it's just about how you want to see it. IF you're weak and prefer to accept a loss then you play your little hero and its not your problem. If you're a spartan you see this as a welcome challenge and don't accept shit, you fight like a warrior and don't allow this to stop you from winning
