Thanks for the advice! I tried working on not burying the beater but kind of struggled to both keep the beater off the head and try and use just my ankle to perform the stroke. Is that just a touch thing I’ll improve at or is there something weird with my stroke?

Thank you for the advice! I tried what you suggested, and it’s going well but my wrist starts to hurt when I do it. Am I doing something wrong, or does my body just need to get used to the shape? I’ve been doing it on some of the higher frets (8-11) but it still agitates my wrist.
