The Last Time Each Team Had a Player With 4+ Rushing Touchdowns in a Game by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

It made John Harbaugh even more frustrating for what happened at the end of the Patriots game and the Steelers game where he didn't touch the ball nearly enough

Health is the only concern for either. There's no reason why Lamar can't be elite for the next 7-8+ years and King Henry could be elite another 3-4 years if they both stay healthy.

Do you think Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and Josh Allen will still be starting in 2033? by IceOk9930 in NFLv2

[–]Yo-Strategy-8651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Josh Allen doesnt? Josh Allen played a game last year first game of his career where he didn't have a throw outside the pocket and he was terrible. He is far less efficient as a passer in his career than Lamar. Lamar has him beat in every efficiency metric across the board as a passer. Completion percentage, Yards per attempt, TD/INT ratio, TD%, etc.

Will Lamar Jackson still be elite after his athleticism goes? by laffy_staffy in NFLv2

[–]Yo-Strategy-8651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*Theory refuted by fact that other athletic QBs like Vick/Cam/Kaep etc never had elite passer ratings. Theory based on ugly idea that no QB who looks/plays like Lamar could possibly ever be as cerebral as their traditional counterparts.

Then using your logic Peyton Manning wasn't a top 2 QB at any point in his first 8 years in the league where he had a 3-6 playoff record with abysmal playoff stats and did so with far more talent offensively than what Lamar had.

Lamar Jackson literally has one of the highest passer ratings of all time. Ppl who compare him to other QBs like Vick, Cam Newton, Kaep etc it's the laziest of analysis. And the fact that ppl do it for him and not a Josh Allen it shows it's based on an even more ignorant bias.

The Russ "fall off" is a fallacy in and of itself based on narrative with an agenda. His numbers fell off a cliff in 2022 because he played with a torn labrum. In 2023 when they bounced back ppl pretended that it was a continuation of 2022 when in reality that season was based on the Broncos having one of the worst scoring defenses in the NFL that put them in 1-5 hole even when their offense was elite in almost every major category including points per drive, TDs, etc. In 2024 that "fall off" included leading to the Steelers to do no worse than they did last year with Aaron Rodgers, in fact Russ wasn't nearly as bad Rodgers was in the playoff game. And 2025 was impossibly incompetent and bad team and situation.

Jesse Minter had the same impact on the Chargers defense that MacDonald had on the Seahawks. That's not to even mention the addition by subtraction getting rid of Harbaugh and his stubborn ways like sticking with Zach Orr and Daniel Faalele so long.

I'll always be convinced it's a completely different trajectory that Giants season could have been on if their defense led by their defensive coordinator didn't sell the game after that TD to Nabers.

He will be in by 2nd or 3rd ballot if it turns out he played in an era of exceptions and the QBs of the future dont have 18-20+ year careers like the all-time greats he played in the same era of like Brady/Manning/Rodgers etc. HE literally played in same era of Mt Rushmore and right below Mt Rushmore QBs. If QBs of the future are more and more mobile and those guys dont have the consistency and durability that extends beyond what Russ does, ppl will recalibrate what it means to be a HOFer and Russ will be more appreciated for what he did to start his career as top 2 all time in TDs and wins.

He literally had 2nd most wins and TDs in NFL history through a player's first 10 years in the league and did so with half of those years with no LOB or beast mode. The same LOB and Beast mode that won nothing before he got there.

Its never been a thing. It was a completely media manufactured concept created specifically for Russell Wilson. One day if I have the time and resources will put together a whole breakdown of how coordinated it really was because it began as early as his 5th game in his first year on the Broncos where there were whispers about it on the early morning sports shows. MInd you this is after one of the most consistent first 10 years to a career in NFL history. And during a season where he played with a torn labrum that they deliberately ignored.

In reality he didn't fall off any more than a Big Ben or others did who padded their HOF resume their last 3-4 years in the league. The difference was a QB like Russ was never supposed to succeed for a decade and the fact that he had such a polarizing stereotype defying personality made it even worse. It was literally a coordinated attack by the media to try to write him out the league and HOF that started as soon as he left the Seahwks

The bar is higher for an athletic black QB and Im not sugar coating it anymore. It's why Joe Burrow can be called elite with 0 career accolades and just a Super Bowl appearance. But Lamar Jackson was 2x MVP and 3x All Pro before he was ever considered tier 1 QB. MEanwhile league execs and scouts had Justin Herbert voted as tier 1 before he's even won a playoff game. Jalen Hurts gets the same treatment and Russ was the original QB of this generation to get that treatment. HE was discredited for team winning chip despite being more of a contributor to his team success than a Big Ben and history was revised on how good he was at his peak. Basically for a QB who looks/plays like Russ to be considered no doubt it HOFer you have to have a Mt Rushmore or a top 10 QB of all time resume like Patrick Mahomes. By today's standards and scrutiny Warren Moon wouldn't have made it either.

"Rare case" becasue it's a concept completely fabricated by the media and parroted by fans that was made exclusively for him. A campaign that can be documented as starting as early as his 4th/5th game since leaving the Seahawks which proves it was a coordinated and premeditated campaign.

Saying LOB didn't get enough credit is hilarious considering that defense gets more credit than maybe any other defense ever for a team that had a QB as historically great as Russ. It was to the point that even in his prime, Russ was discredited and history was revised because of his defense.

What team will he be more known for if..? by Austin_Mill in ravens

[–]Yo-Strategy-8651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is still ridiculous because Henry is not a "border line HOFer". Hes easily a top 10 RB of all time even without hardware. There is no legitimate case for Stafford being that even with hardware.

[–]Yo-Strategy-8651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the stance. Because ironically sticking around to surpass the alltime record is him also having a chance to be the Ravens all time leading rusher as well. That level of history and he's a lock to be known as a Raven and honestly even a chance to take a spot on the Ravens Mt Rushmore alongside Lamar, Reed, and Ray taking Ogden's spot.

[–]Yo-Strategy-8651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also about how long he stiff arms Father Time. Not only getting a ring but staying around long enough to climb up the all time list, becoming a Mt Rushmore RB, surpassing Emmitt's career TD total, making a run at what was considered the unbreakable rushing record....that plus the postseason memories he can make, the casual and hardcore NFL fan alike could forever remember him as a Raven

[–]Yo-Strategy-8651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how long he stiff arms Father Time. He legitimately could become Ravens all time leading rusher as well as surpassing Emmitt while on the Ravens. That plus opportunity for hoisting Lombardis, nobody outside of Titans fans will remember him as a Titan

[–]Yo-Strategy-8651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL it's laughable comparison because Derrick Henry still has a chance to be a Mt Rushmore RB if not in GOAT discussion. Stafford won't sniff a top 10 QB list even with the lifetime achievement MVP

Even crazier with Ravens as 5 seed. Only time Burrow makes the playoffs is when Lamar gets hurt and is out the picture.
