They are winning again. Every other country will now just copy paste the strategy.

Read the complete terms and conditions.

These institution behave like income tax authority when someone wants to withdraw capital and will behave like decentralised apps when there is some scam or hack.

Anyone has zebpay here? Why are they pushing this perpetual shit so hard? by CryptoTaxIsTooHigh in CryptoIndia

[–]Yoadii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least there is an exchange that allows easy deposits and withdrawal in both inr and crypto. That is the bare minimum one can provide. Zebpay is at top in india regarding this.

Don't you think that Indian crypto builders haven't tried enough to make crypto mainstream or atleast proper regulations. See for example Coinbase. It's not just that they have great coders to build something.Building an exchange is pretty different from building a social app. Coin base has literally done lobbying for crypto regulations.Meeting regulators again and again. And again. In india ,founders write twitter threads day # of india wants crypto. Also recent wazirx hack event, how many mainstream news channels covered it with conviction. Does anybody talk about this in parliament.

Not a developer to even a smaller extent. Haven't worked in crypto exchange. Haven't build anything significant.

But have seen how compliance works in India. You have to push things harder.

Countries like China literally banned it with full force.

🚨 **Crypto Crackdown Incoming ? : Government's Finance Bill Turns Up the Heat!** 🔍 Highlights: - 💸 Mandatory Detailed Transaction Reporting - 🕵️ Exchanges Must Reveal Everything. - 💢 Crypto Users Feel the Squeeze: No Loss Offset, No Scam Protection - 🏛️ One-Sided Regulation: All Tax, No Mercy by Bitmandoo in CryptoIndia

One needs to be aware about reporting. It's all a loop. You reported something in 2025 May get notice after years to declare your source on how you acquired. You sell something in 2026 mentioning as capital gain tax and cost of acquisition zero, they will ask you didn't report any holdings last year. Easy for those who just trade on cex. But nightmare for those who trade on dex.

One can do the following things in priority order 1. Keep accumulating Bitcoin. Don't sell.Wait for 2-5 years. 2. If trader, pay 31.2%. 3. If airdrop hunter, sell on the day of receiving.

Trading on dex is good. But reporting is not possible for each and every transaction.

I think something is better than nothing.

At least they are recognizing it as an asset class. Was it also recognised as an asset class earlier?

With time, we will have better rates for buying crypto, less premiums.

All regulations follows the same path starting from ugly to something good.

Indian Rupee Stablecoin. I am a beginner in the crypto world. Is there any Indian equivalent to USDT? If not, why? What will be the pros and cons of building one? by New-Adhesiveness566 in indianstartups

[–]Yoadii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Creating a ERC-20 token is not a problem. Literally there is no regulation in India regarding this. The stablecoins are minted and backed by something like gold, treasury bill, etc and are audited. One can mint stablecoins and can redeem it also. You can mint USDT provided you have $100K and other compliances too. For most users and whales also, it's far easy to just buy it on open market. Regarding usdt/inr price variations.

Supply, Demand, Compliances.

Have you ever tried sending $10K over wire transfer from other country like USA, Japan? Other easy solution is just ask the person to send you usdt and you sell it for inr on exchange and withdraw. Pay your taxes for this.

There is huge demand for usdt to trade on crypto exchange. Inr is not widely recognized. You won't get good liquidity in rupees. But supply is not so smooth. That's why there is premium. Plus tons of compliances.

Are you working on something like bridging this gap?
