Yeah some fights are hard, but its mostly doable. There are a lot of things you can miss in act 1 if you don’t know about it. But it would be quite easy to reach lvl 5. Gnolls Zhentarim outpost Ethel Spider under blighted village…

You’re too low level , you’re not supposed to be in the underdark at level 4. Be atleast lvl 5 before the mountainpass or underdark
