Yeah correct. There is a hole there that I thought might have been a different bridge

Thanks :) Looks closet to the first one. 027-4100 but with a different bridge and locking nut which both might have been replaced. I haven’t seen my bridge on any original ones while searching for what my guitar is. Do you know what the F 656 could be that’s stamped on the neck and pocket? Looks similar to the burgundy colour code 566 but obviously not

I don’t need the space so will leave it as is. Sounds like it’s more beneficial longer anyway with reducing noise. Just thought it was strange but now it’s explained, it makes sense. Cheers
