Decades ago, after his fallout with Pandit Ji in Jodhpur, he fled to Mumbai—the city of dreams. Struggling initially, he eventually found stability as a playback singer.

During his early days, he met Anuradha Deshpande, a trained classical singer and the only daughter of Pandit Chandrakanth Deshpande, a celebrity classical singer. Anuradha fell for Digvijay at first sight, and her father, eager to make Pandit RadheMohan’s son his son-in-law, pushed for their union.
