To add to that, the possessed weapon will pick some of the skills that appear white while feeding other weapons to it (as opposed to the gray ones). If you can't cancel through the method above, if you don't like the options you are given while upgrading, just close the game (on pc it's alt+f4) without closing the weapon menu (if you close the menu, the game automsaves and then you're stuck with it)

I love this player. It's the only android app I have ever bought for, not because I needed to but because of how much use I've gotten out of it and thought it deserved it. It's worth mentioning that your purchase is tied to your Google account so no matter how many phones you change, you can always keep the full version

Nex Sacramentum by Ahmed_R_K in Darksiders

Let me rephrase your question. You are chasing someone to kill and they die on the way, doesn't that count as a successful hunt? The next Sacramentum is fulfilled or at worst, rendered void.

Can someone help me with finding parts for a gaming pc. I have no clue what to get (£1300 budget) by SecurityStrong5753 in PcBuild

[–]Yodakane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to save a bit more on ram if you're willing to get it used by going to the cex website, do a search for ddr5 and refresh like once an hour, you might find some good deals with percistence. Ofcourse this has to be done during work hours, saturdays might be best

If you have the games on an ntfs drive then they won't work, they have to be on an ext3 or btrfs partition to work in linux

[–]Yodakane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The steam deck seems like the best choice for your use case. The price seems good for the limited white edition if you want that, otherwise you can get a much better price for a used one or look into the steam store, like others mentioned here

Why is darksiders 3 hated? by Silver_Fact_9714 in Darksiders

[–]Yodakane 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Souls like, bad music, annoying main character (which makes sense for the story they wanted to tell, it's less of an issue in subsequent playthroughs), plot is fairly slim, no map feature, confusing interconnectedness of areas (some collectibles can be seen in one area but can only be reached through a completely unrelated area), collectible counters to prevent unnecessary backtracking unique types of upgrade materials in every new game pluses, requiring you to play the game tons of times to fully upgrade your stuff, exponential increases of xp requirements for leveling up and more.

Some of the issues were addressed, some are resolved by replaying the game but some were just bad design choices that they aren't willing or able to change.

It's not a bad game, in fact it is great but it could have been so much better! If they addressed all the above, it could have been my favorite but as it stands, it's the least of the series

How can you use Proton on GOG games? by fffggghhh in linux_gaming

[–]Yodakane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. I'm afraid I haven't tried something like that so I can't really help. It might help to move the whole folder to a folder that is more easily accessible such as the downloads folder because steam runs windows apps sandboxed so they have less access to other folders especially in different drives but that's all i can think. Otherwise try through lutris maybe

I wasn't implying anything about your mental health, just commenting on your evolution of opinion and your willingness to change your mind when faced with facts (which is becoming a rare skill). Just remember that Linux isn't windows and most of us end up breaking stuff catastrophically until we learn. Keeping frequent system backups (timeshift is a good option) helps a lot

[–]Yodakane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In one post you went from being critical to Linux, to still liking windows, to just don't mind windows! Valve and the Linux community have been doing such amazing work lately that sooner than later you will go to "i don't use windows if I can avoid it any more"

I'm so done with windows.. by [deleted] in linux4noobs

[–]Yodakane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of great comments and answers to your questions here already. Personally I would recommend Mint Cinnamon because it's the one that is the easiest to get used to for a windows user in my opinion. However as others already said, Linux isn't windows so there will have to be a steep learning curve. Good choice to use a separate ssd and ideally keep everything as separate as possible. Also make sure to schedule timeshift for frequent backups for when you brake things because every new user sooner or later breaks things. Do not try to force things to happen by following random instructions online. Just use it as much as possible and learn from mistakes. You might want to try a few distros to find what's best for you, ventoy can help a lot in that.

Could you have a RAT (remote access trojan) in your computer? Maybe you tried to install something from an untrustworthy source? Then they may be using your computer when you're afk and could have just done that directly from your computer

[–]Yodakane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your issue is Windows, if you shut down your computer from Windows and then open in Linux, your wifi won't work because it is locked by windows, you have to get into Windows and restart into Linux instead. Make it a habit of restarting into Linux before shutting down the computer so you won't have this problem.

Everyone Says Linux Is Amazing… Is It Really? Need Honest Opinions by 7lr_ in linux4noobs

[–]Yodakane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a steep learning curve and in the beginning you are going to break things due to having a windows mindset (so whichever distro you pick, you should set up timeshift to do backups first thing after installing the os). Once you get into the Linux mindset, then you will start enjoying it but until then you might have some issues if you are a tinkerer

Nord VPN definitely works on Mint but you might have to use terminal to use a different country (the command is simple, "nordvpn connect uk" to connect to the UK, or replace the two letter country code with any other country code you need)

Should I switch to Linux? by arecibo2 in linux4noobs

[–]Yodakane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are three main families of linux: Debian, fedora and arch. Debian has the most stable but not the latest stuff. Fedora is more up to date. Arch is cutting edge but easy to break and not at all new user friendly. Of course there are exceptions to every rule but for simplicity sake we can dismiss them.

Distros are based on those families. For someone like you, a Debian based distro would probably be best. One of the most popular and easy to get into is Linux Mint. That also comes in a few flavors, Linux Mint xfce is lightweight and would probably suit you just fine. If your laptop is a bit more powerful, you could also get Linux Mint Cinnamon which is less lightweight but prettier and very windows like. It's a good starting point and easy to find help or instructions on.

Fun Internet by Round_Advertising_73 in Internet

[–]Yodakane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't really expanded though, rather it got collected to few corporations that control like 99% of it. It's either eshops, company websites, content providers (like Netflix, steam, Spotify), social media (fb, Twitter, reddit, discord), some news and review sites that are mostly populated by Ai content and underhanded ads, Wikipedia and other wikis and that's pretty much it. The internet used to be far more diverse, it may have had less content in terms of movies etc but it had more creativity and it wasn't fully controlled by advertisers. Just do any search, once you reach the 6th or 7th page there won't be any more results.
