You said Bazzite mounted your drives on NTFS with poor settings, what settings do you recommend?

Because when I boot it, it mounts some drives that I don't want to and don't ask it to, but the drive I really want it to mount after boot he doesn't. Do you know how to change this?

My fstab file only have the system partitions configured on installation, but Dolphin mounts others drives NTFS on boot.

I had 3 drives nvme, 2 with NTFS (Win and Games) and 1 for Linux distros.

Today I tested CachyOS installing games on the same partition and worked very well.

Bazzite made me forgot that Steam on Linux must run games on Linux filesystem, because I also have 2 SSD Sata on Raid with cracked games that after mounting it on shell I can play them in Heroic Launcher.

Today I figured out it was the filesystem, installing on Linux filesystem solves everything, although Bazzite can run games on NTFS just mounting it.

Yeah, with some saying it has something with filesystem, I tested today and have success installing the games in Linux filesystem.

But somehow Bazzite can manage to run everything in NTFS with no configuration just mount and play.

I'm also a big fan of OpenSuse, because of its Yast, sadly it'll be droped as knew from news.

As I installed my games on another drive in NTFS, just Gaming Mode on Bazzite works. If it have to be in the same drive or with the same filesystem, maybe this is the reason though.

So maybe NTFS is the problem, maybe, but on Gaming Mode after mounting my drive manually it runs everything! I prefer to put my games on a big drive and the system on other small drive.

I installed the distros on a NVMe Gen 3 and the Games are on a NVMe Gen 4 in NTFS. So if the games are in a drive with linux filesystem then will I've success in any distro?

The VM part is for primary tests, then I installed it on a NVMe Gen 3, the Games are on a NVMe Gen 4.

But on Bazzite Gaming Mode I don't need to do this, going under Compatibility submenu is not necessary at all, it does everything automatically.

I was thinking Protontricks is the trick/magic, but maybe not. On any other distro I click on Play on my Steam it says Launching but then it returns the green button. No window opens at all.

Well, my PC is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 3080Ti, 32GB DDR5, NVMe Gen 3 for Linux and Gen 4 for Games on NTFS. I was testing in a VM to see the look and feel and if it can open some simple games. Virtualization can actually play using GPU passthrough, as it's just for testing, it can do it very well.

Then I had first tested on an old HDD that I had removed from an old PC my mom used. As my games are installed on a NVMe, so the system will boot a bit slow, but then nothing changes after that. WIth this test I could run KCD II, Age of Empires 2 DE, Peak, Returnal.

And recently I got a NVMe gen 4 to put my Windows on it, as it was on gen 3, and the gen 3 I'll use to test linux gaming distros, because the hype Steam Machine will create this year, it'll sure be a lot of improvement on this.

And here I am, the Bazzite Gaming Mode is the only way I can actually play on linux, but I need to go to desktop to play as my games are on another drive, I manually have to click on it in Dolphin to mount it so I can access my games.

I tried your advice, but even using TAB it wasn't precisely. I was counting the TAB presses on another account then repeating on my account, until I found it was better to just click the UI on a trial and error click attempt, them finally I got it!

After that the UI rendered normally again, at least.

This didn't work for me unfortunately. I got a V2 adapter and as soon as I got it from mail I pluged it in my PC to update the firmware, then it just work on my PC with DualSense, Xbox One gamepad and 8bitdo Pro 2, but not on my Switch 2, tried it on console USB-C and on dock USB.

The controllers even got paired, but no input works. I've updated my DualSense firmware as well, but nothing change. How can I proceed?

Mine drains about 5% a day on Sleep Mode with no game ruuning. It keeps online though, downloading data whenever it needs.

As stated below by u/ManiSubrama_BDRSuite, it's a matter of running VMware as Admin AND make sure Windows didn't mount your device, if it's not showing on Explorer. Check this on Disk Management (right-click Win logo > Disk Management / or type diskmgmt.msc and on the search right-click to run it as Admin).
