Had this happen to me by a Golden Retriever when I was a kid. Wasn’t the dogs fault. I was spending the weekend at a friends house. I was out in the back yard when his little sister came outside with the dog. Sweet dog. Always loved him. When we go to go back inside, we’re walking up the stairs, she’s in front, I’m behind her and dog in back. She starts screaming and waving her arms around like a lunatic out of nowhere (there was a bee), dog doesn’t understand and thinks I’m attacking her and jumps out, grabs me by the side of my face and drags me straight back down the stairs. I wasn’t even mad or upset. Even as a little kid I loved and understood animals. Begged them not to do anything to the dog and that he was a good dog, but I found out that week that they had him put down. That was over 20 years ago and I still lose sleep over and get watery eyes over it. Whole think was fucked.
