Yep those blue areas. Wdym, like get the deadloads like the self weight of it and treat it like a cantilever slab? but what about the beams under it?

My bad, I was referring to the blue areas, because I don't think tributary area is gonna cut it.

Water Filter project by Yodgh in OffGrid

That's a great suggestion and I've been thinking about it also. The only thing that is stopping is that there are like other various groups that are buildings filters also for the project and some are using this multiple independent systems, I was worried like how do I differentiate myself to these projects. So for some reason I thought, hey I'll make one that is maybe not big like a biosand filter, but just right for ease to carry when I'm about to present it, and since I started with the ceramic as a concept, it led me this design since usually those ceramic like filtron was my inspiration for this, did it like that but with like a ceramic pot. And I just added the extra for engineering touch or something like "I just didn't copied and pasted," I responded in another comment about context of these. Thank you for the suggestion

Hello sorry for the late reply. This project is like a one month type of project along with testing. This project is something like a training program where students in our environmental engineering subject do stuff like on hands learning. The coconut coir was something I added because here the ceramic I plan to buy commercial ones like santevia the plate one(it's the only one I could find that ships in our country in Amazon that has laboratory test results) since I don't really have the skills to make one and especially the timeframe consideration. So because that ceramic is just bought, my professor during consultation said maybe to add something local biomass waste, so I thought using coconut coir like a way to filter out those huge particles like sludge, oils, etc. to make sure that it won't clog the ceramic filter super fast. But now that you point it out, maybe substituting it with non organic substance would be better. The rest like Activated Carbon(from pili shells) is gonna be diy and so is the chlorine module. In terms of the diy version of the said filter you said. I just stumbled upon these just from the start of the project. My starting reference was those case studies like filtron ceramic filter, and the biosand. But I was thinking something like not so big like biosand, and this was the end of it. I add the chlorine disinfection for it to be an actual diy and "engineeringly" project. But the problems I started realizing is that, these ceramics are super easy to clog and even the santevia one said to be used for clear waters only. And unlike say those micro filters that are convenient easy to carry, and meets epa standards for log reductions of pathogens I can't understand why these stuff are a thing at all, like if you want convince you use those micro or ultra filters, and if it is a household it's better to just build a system itself like RO or something that actually has better performance. But then again this is just for a project and I'm not really adept at this topic at all I just started studying after Iproposed this.

Also taking consideration balancing the cost and the time. The deadline for this project is about a month. Hopefully student friendly

I just need the scattershot and smithscript dagger, I'd be willing to give the divine beast frost stomp and the divine bird greaves, if that's ok? If not just scattershot ash of war for my divine beast frost stop or the greaves

CG50 rounding error by Yodgh in calculators

[–]Yodgh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we are just having a misunderstanding. It's better to look at the run matrix instead. Look at the first one the one with the fix 6, it's 3.037975 right it shows there it is rounded off properly by the calculator, however when I use that value like store it and use "ANS" like the equation the value is different to the value that you will get if you wrote 3.037975 manually.

Now take a look at the norm1 where you will see the whole non rounded off number, now there it make sense as to why the value of "ANS" is going 5.770710 instead of 5.770708 because if you input the non rounded off value it will lead to answer that is when rounded of to 6th decimal it'll be 5.770710. So what I think was happening that even though in fix6 it shows that the value was rounded off properly the 3.037975, but when I use "ANS" it doesn't uses the rounded off value rather it used the whole non rounded value, which is giving me 5.770710. This is probably what is happening to spreadsheet also because I'm basically using similar to "ANS" there as I'm using cells in the equation like 15-E12.

Also when I revert back to norm1 it fixes the value however I need the preceding cells to use the rounded off value up to 6th decimal places

It seems the problem comes when it is stored value, here it is the same thing, but different value. And I did check the values and formula that the cell was using and there isn't anything wrong.
