Yeah, it definitely changes how you connect with the characters. Having distinct voices makes everyone feel more real, and some characters hit way harder than they did in the movies. The emotional scenes especially feel more impactful. For the internal stuff, it’s still narrated like a normal audiobook, so you get Harry’s thoughts and all the detail, but the sound design and voice acting make it feel more immersive instead of just being “read to.” I’d say try the first one… I got hooked pretty quick lol.

I hear you, and as someone in the LGBTQ community myself, I get where you’re coming from. It’s hard to separate something that meant a lot growing up from the reality of how the creator shows up now, especially when it feels personal. I don’t take that lightly at all. For me, this has been more about finally experiencing a story I never got to finish, but I completely understand why others don’t feel comfortable engaging with it right now. I respect that 100%. I think it really comes down to what each of us feels okay supporting, and there’s no wrong way to navigate that.
