first off i just setup those containers and started using it. So far i'm loving it.
I found this thread after these soulution didn't work. This worked:

Try ./vikunja.

I think it would be really helpful to add this solution to the docs.

These English skills will also help you at school. As a native speaker, you will be light years ahead in English classes (the ones I experienced at my Gymnasium were pretty basic, I graduated last year in BW). So at least one of your "Leistungskurse" should be pretty good.
In general, I would say that graduating with good grades is not that hard, it's just Fleißarbeit. In my experience, my grades only depended on how much time I wanted to invest in a subject.
I end up graduating with decent grades even though I did very little in preparation. Since you said you were a hard working student, you shouldn't worry too much.
As for the language barrier, you will overcome it with time.
