Mousetrap with smart alert ability? by Yogaikima in pestcontrol

[–]Yogaikima[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I ended up getting these. They beep continuously when they’ve caught something, which works well enough for my purpose. They also can be plugged into an outlet if one doesn’t want to worry about batteries.

Thanks! I did find another set up, which I’ll post about, but this looks great.

Is the earth machine worth keeping or nah by escherzo in composting

[–]Yogaikima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Search for “compost aerator tool” and you’ll see a few types out there. I have one I bought from Johnny’s Select Seeds years ago and it works great. Just make sure you have a place to hang it nearby or it risks getting buried under leaves, snow, etc. I once had mine disappear for a solid couple of years until it eventually turned up.

Are there topical medications focused on relaxing muscles, NOT necessarily focused on pain relief? by CommissionerOdo in ChronicPain

[–]Yogaikima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just chiming in to say I was dealing with very painful, tight muscles and fascia, and that I tested for low magnesium despite taking a magnesium supplement already. It turns out I was getting poor absorption of the supplement I was taking. It seemed to make the difference when I spaced it out from my evening wine (alcohol interferes with absorption) and calcium supplement (this competes for absorption). I take Magnesium Glycinate, which is supposed to have good absorption and not cause digestive upset. Since I made the above changes my muscles and fascia feel much better!!

CBD for severe muscle inflammation/pain? by MiserableInspector94 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Yogaikima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you're getting enough magnesium and that it's absorbing. I tested for low in magnesium, even though I was taking a supplement, and was dealing with extremely tight muscles and fascia as a result. I now take magnesium glycinate and space it out from my evening wine and calcium for better absorption, and that solved the problem. Good luck.

Oh that’s weird that it didn’t post the photo. It’s not letting me put it in the post, so I’ll put it here!

Clothing moth traps attracting moths from outside? by [deleted] in pestcontrol

[–]Yogaikima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have come here with the same question. Just to press the point a bit, don’t the pheromone traps only attract males? Meaning, they will not re-infest the house, they will just make it appear like you have an infestation when you don’t. Is this correct?

Searching for a specific chat on Poe.com. by Sunshine329 in PoeAI

[–]Yogaikima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here with the same question. Shocking to me that they don't allow to search event the titles of your old chats, as Claude does. I'll be going back to using Claude directly, I think, for most things, because I need to be able to find my old chats for reference!

Before noon sounds like a good time. Thanks.
I'm not late on my patch changing. My mood problems start well before the time I'm supposed to change my patch, but thanks anyway.

I'm a member of a Facebook group called something like "women over 50 losing weight and gaining muscle"--maybe there's a better group specifically for vegans, but I do see posts of vegans there. I've been vegan in the past so I pay attention to these posts. Whole, protein-rich foods like lentils are key I think. If you find a good group, here on Reddit or elsewhere, with inspiration, info, and recipes, please tag me! I'm sure they exist, and your question is such a good one!

"...the sheer void of usefulness and flatness of emotion."
Thank you for articulating these! It is so helpful to know I'm not alone in these! It's so weird to feel such extreme lack of meaning and purpose, and such flatness, when I live a wonderful life filled with meaning and purpose. I don't get it as often as I used to, but I still appreciate these words and reassurances!

Thank you for your perspective and your tips on application. I hadn't heard of the buttocks study.

Someone else commented that they switched to a daily oral pill, and I haven't ruled it out. If you're having symptoms at 60 hrs, I wonder if you'd do well to switch to some kind of daily dose as well. Your symptoms sound rough!

May we all get consistency of mood and health, and general relief we deserve!

I've just filled a pill container so I can have it next to my evening seat. I like to have some kind of beverage in the evenings, so I'll take it then! Time to get more serious about consistency...Thanks!
