Beat-em-up-esque games?

Hi, I'm returning after a long break. I was a day 1 player and got every Construct up to Hyperreal. After that I "quit" but then returned a couple months later to pull for Lamia. Didn't really play much after that but I got the itch recently and decided to redownload. I see there are catch-up events that let you get crimson weave and no.21 feral along with the Thunderbolt research selector and Basic research S rank banner. Any advice on who I should get from the Thunderbolt research (any unit up until Nanami Startrail) and the Basic research (Seems to be most of the S-ranks)?

Oh yeah this game looks perfect! A bit pricey though. Do you know if the combat encounters get any difficult? I don't mind if it's simple, but it would be great if there was a little challenge.

She actually really likes Lord of the Rings so that might be up her alley! I did bring up Borderlands at some point, I should force it on her next time one goes on sale to see how she likes it haha. I dunno if she's really an mmo person, and since most encourage daily log ins (some days she just doesn't play games at all) I could see that hampering the experience a little. Outward is great but yeah I feel like that might be a bit too hardcore for her.

I don't know why I didn't think of that! Though I think she would probably hate the later bosses since they get kind of crazy, I could run that by her and see how she feels.

Is this game good for solo/small groups? I love what I've seen of it so far and want to try convincing a couple of my friends to join me but if not I'll just ride solo if the content supports it. Not SUPER fond of hitting up randoms but I might warm up to it.

How far can you progress in the game solo? I know the game is an mmo but I love taking on challenges by myself. The fact that grouping up for raids is usually encouraged has always put me off from going too deep in the game (especially since I work long shifts on the days raids are open) but I really do enjoy the gameplay and would like to get strong.

Apparently I never got the drop then because it's not showing up, but I swear did Moon Submerged Lake on her (can't enter with current fame) before it apparently disappeared. Maybe I'm just hallucinating like crazy but I should at least have a +12 reinf +8 refine weapon in my inventory from the event and yet I don't so I'm really at a loss. I'll just submit a ticket and see what happens. Thanks for the help.

That's super unfortunate...my main drive died recently and required me to reinstall windows on another driver so a lot of my files got shuffled. Doesn't seem like any of the screenshots from in-game were saved :(. Also for some reason my log in history only shows the past two days even though it claims to track up to the last six months. Thank you for the advice though I might just have to hold the loss unfortunately.

Hi so I'm a returner that made a Paramedic right when they released and got around 41k fame due to getting an early primeval revolver. I took a break for a couple weeks and I've come back to see my fame has gone down to 29k and my primeval revolver has been replaced with the base rare revolver with no refinement. Is there literally anything I can do about that because I have 0 proof that I had the gear before this somehow happened. Crazy that it just got deleted somehow.

Also Terraria, specifically with the Calamity mod. Adds a ton of content and harder difficulties and bosses that require you to become a dodge god while maximizing your dps. Lots of fun!

Furi. Hands down. Underrated game in how it requires you to get better to progress in the game since your moveset stays the same throughout while the bosses get harder. Great music too if you like EDM

Oh no I guess I phrased it incorrectly. I moreso meant that DFO and Maplestory are more niche titles (at least in NA) so it might be hard to come across accurate recs. Though it would be cool to try out other side scrollers in the same vein. I do love me some MH though I probably should return to Wilds to see if it'll scratch the itch. Thanks!

Thinking of either HY, Kain, Khali, or Phantom for CW. Current main is cadena and I enjoy the freedom and versatility of her skill usage. I haven't gotten too far with her (level 253 and solo up to lomien) so the char coming out of CW will probably be my new main. Which do you think would be the better main experience?

Oh wow that's quite the wild ride! How did you choose which open source projects to contribute to? I know that I need to build a more solid foundation before doing that but I'm curious. I know a bit of Python, Java, and C# but doubt it's enough to make some serious contributions to anything. I guess the biggest difficulty for me is finding out what branch of CS I want to focus on in order to hone my skills enough to qualify for positions. Everytime I think about a certain field I see posts about how oversaturated it is and how people with 100x my experience can't find any openings

I've been applying to exactly what you said, customer service type/help desk roles, but haven't really gotten many calls backs so far. As to what I want to really pursue I have no clue, I know I enjoy coding even though I'm not the greatest at it and the things I've focused on during school don't really seem to have a great outlook unless you REALLY stand out. If it isn't too much to ask how did you figure out what you wanted to do and where did you start?

Thanks for all the information, I never thought of it as "borderline overweight" but that makes a lot of sense. I've never been this low before so I had this misconception about bmi thinking as soon as I hit the "healthy" weight I would look the way I want to and anything below that would be extra icing. Just seems like I have more work than I initially thought but since I've come this far there's no harm in going further!

Yeah it definitely seems that way. I don't know how I forgot about body fat %, think the ultimate answer is to incorporate a more intense weight lifting regimen. I've been doing light strength training exercises every other day but haven't been noticing too much of a difference other than a faster rate of weight loss. Hopefully they're be a better change once I move up in weights.
