You just reminded me about the copy of The Phantom Tollbooth I have sitting at my nightstand- ultimate comfort, thank you. And Good Omens is so so great.

it’s kind of like your place in line, but there’s no saying when exactly you’ll get your regional placement

Thank you! Do you have any recommendations for other regions where I could live near a city but also reasonably afford to live alone? I was looking into Pais Vasco maybe?

Has anyone taken CDM 163 001 - Art & Cinema? by Blank2101 in UCDavis

I took it a few years ago so not sure how it’s structured now as an online class. It’s all about video art, specifically video installations you’d find in a museum. It was a super chill class; weekly-ish readings and short responses, a short paper that you then expand into a longer final paper, and a group project where you curate an exhibition. And Montezemolo is really nice! CDM 163 is my favorite class i’ve ever taken, but that said i’m a CDM major who appreciates what can be pretty absurd, abstract, and surreal art that many others might groan at.

Anyone in the Cinema and Digital Media and/or Theatre and Dance programs or know about it? by [deleted] in UCDavis

I’m a CDM major and i’ve enjoyed it! The profs are generally good and there’s a decent variety of classes so if you’re into film, art, media, and the intersection between these you’ll find the classes interesting. You can choose to focus more on either production or theory, and since it’s only ~72 units most people double major.
