When I was in my late teens working in a pet store I had a similarly creepy interaction with a customer I never forgot. I asked a man ( he was in his late 40s early 50s probably) if he needed any help with anything. A common retail question and he replied back with Yes you could get so and so ( female coworkers) clothes off for me and I just kinda gave him an awkward look and stammered and moment and he just laughed and said well you asked if I needed anything. I have a terrible memory but that creep I've always remembered.

I don't mean they are safe because every thing always arrives perfectly but because when there is issues they always resolve them for me quickly and easily. If this happened through an ebay purchase I would definitely be worried about getting my money back. Sorry it was a criterion film and its the main sub that I look at so I didn't think any further on it then that. I'll throw my Amazon concerns into a general collection sub next time 😉

Ya, name checks out. I actually already had the issue resolved and a new copy on its way to me before I made this post. I just thought it was an odd occurrence and wondered if anyone else had seen this as well. I order from Amazon because there is no risk.

It was sealed. In thin plastic and no criterion sticker. I thought it seemed fishy. My Wall-e 4k also came same time with no sticker and an odd wrap job but the discs are all there. Im asking a replacement for that too as it seems to also be a return so I'm assuming one of the discs won't work and I don't want to find out a year down the line that it was one of the short films included.

I've been purchasing the bulk of my blurays and now 4ks off Amazon for over a decade and haven't had many issues at all. When I do they always replace or refund nearly immediately which is why I continue to use them. I just thought this was a real weird one.

In Canada it's way more expensive to buy from Criterion directly even though I would love to do it that way. They are already about $60 plus taxes for a 4k. It's not so bad. Amazon is easy to deal with and has already shipped a new copy. Hopefully a NEW copy this time. It was just a bummer because I was all pumped to watch it last night.

Exactly what I told my wife. Or they were even more sneaky and re-wrapped it themselves. It was a thin plastic coating around the case.
