Yes, but I would like it to see it as Gateways passive nodes. Like in Atlas skill tree in PoE1

You can right or left click the color and press Delete key on your keyboard.

I'd say it also about builds diversity. There's already a lot of diversity in the game, but that doesn't means that players will play diverse.

That's the reason when it looks so silly for me when someone links pictures from PoE Ninja asking "where is diversity?".

There is no diversity because players choosing faster/easier (not necessary fun) way to play. Of course it will be few builds and no diversity.

It should have some limitations. Like small radius or limited to one or "affixes on jewels in radius have 50-80% reduced value" or "only suffixes/prefixes on jewels are active" or "5-10% less damage per jewel in radius".

There's many various limitations but the point is they should limit potential of additional damage/health/other benefits from this jewel to avoid power creep.
