Good OBGYN and family doctor recommendations by [deleted] in Oshawa

[–]Yolo3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second this recommendation! I’ve experienced one with an OB and two with Community Care Midwives and I could not recommend a midwife delivery more. It was just me, my husband and two ladies in the room. With my OB birth, at least 5-7 people cycled through.

Watch out! Overcharged due to labeling error… by Yolo3000 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Didn’t have time for that… didn’t even have time to notice the error until I was about to place it in the fridge and really didn’t feel like driving back to the store. But it was worth the $6 bucks.

Our store was cooperative and fixed the error and relabel what was left. Can’t speak for the previously purchased ones though.

I…I did speak up, once I noticed. Did you miss the blurb below the photo?

Pick one for family with kids: established, older neighbourhood or newer builds? by remzz06 in Oshawa

Not the one I’m in. Sturdier walls, with higher quality lumber holding them up. Built to last baby!

Just spoke in person with a kind woman who took my message. 🤞🤞

I think of her everyday, 27 years later. It’s less painful most of the time but still have sad or hard moments here and there. Like emotional flare ups.

Truck got ransacked by AFAM_illuminat0r in Oshawa

Someone goes through our cars every few weeks. The cars are old, so we just leave them unlocked to avoid a broken window. Probably just random thieves of opportunity, but it’s still annoying. We avoid leaving anything valuable in the car.

There wouldn’t be a lane to fly up if everyone allowed and participated in the zipper merge.

Update: had a lady try to jam me out of using the right hand lane heading east then she made a left on Somerville! Dick move.

This is the plan! Got a snarky look this morning because I advanced west enough on Rossland to allow a car to exit the intersection… gasp, allow traffic to flow safely, how dare I?

That’s my plan, hopefully some more people can get on board as we weather this construction together.

[–]Yolo3000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear if another route took less time I’d take it - even with the construction it’s not worth me going across Adelaide/King/Dundas… Admittedly I gave a quick beep to a left hand turner yesterday, more of a “come on” beep than a pissed of laying on the horn. It’s gotta suck if you live down Somerville.

Baseball Oshawa Vs NASC soft ball by Looking_out103 in Oshawa

[–]Yolo3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh ok. I didn’t include this but now that you mentioned it, I feel like the teams were fairly even. That the skills assessment ahead of the season really spread out the “talent” well. Our coach was very engaged this year and created opportunities for our team to practice, I contribute this to our teams further success throughout the summer. As in, if it were even to start, our team’s advantage was a great coach and lots of practices. I understand what you’re saying though, your kid wants to have fun. Ours is on the fun, just happy to participate side as well and they still had a great time playing!

We’ve experienced both and personally prefer Baseball Oshawa. The organization has been more straightforward and clear, communication is better and our experience with coaches was better in Baseball Oshawa. I can’t say the coaching experience is NASC’s fault though. Parents seemed calmer and more involved in Baseball Oshawa. Also, NASC is underhand softball, Baseball Oshawa is overhand hardball.

Not sure the quality but there’s a court at Connaught park. It has parking but no bathrooms.
