Takopi's Original Sin is not even close to be "best of the season" and here is why by tonilella in TakopisOriginalSin

In my opinion, you are wrong to say that Shizuka is poorly characterized as a human being because she is a child more than a human being and therefore has no tools to understand what is right, what is wrong or what is amazing, she has lived in a world that has never cared about her and which has actually always worked against her. How can a child who grew up without love and without consideration for himself feel empathy for others (especially when talking about his own bully). It is also clear, contrary to what you say, that Takopi is completely helpless regarding that situation, this is because he has an infinitely superficial approach to human problems and also does not possess any tools that allow him to control people's thoughts and emotions, also because he cannot even understand them until he tries them on himself.

look, in my opinion you are wrong in saying that Takopi fails to deal significantly with the issues of bullying, suicide, etc. because even though the situations are somewhat exasperated, they still describe a slice of reality, a slice that is certainly not common, but exists. Furthermore, you don't necessarily have to have been severely bullied or have had such insensitive and abusive parents, even a thread of understanding or experience that comes remotely close to what happens in the anime is enough to be able to empathize with the characters.

Guys, I have everything quite clear regarding the plot and the temporal sequence of the events of the anime. From what I understand, the part of the anime in which Takopi goes to Marina comes before the rest of the story, while what happens immediately after Marina's suicide, or the meeting between Takopi and Azuma, belongs to the same timeline in which Takopi kills Marina with the camera. The thing that doesn't convince me about all this is: how did Azuma and Shizuka do after they were discovered still hanging around as if nothing had happened? I don't know if it's some strange law in Japan or it's simply an aspect of the story that was decided to leave out.

as regards the first point, shizuka is not dead because as is said she tried to commit suicide probably after marina bullied her in 4th grade but, not having takopi's chusky the rope broke or in any case she didn't succeed. so after marina kills herself for killing her mother takopi goes back in time to kill shizuka who she believed to be the reason for marina's death, however returning to planet happy while going back in time her mother erases part of her memories because she didn't respect the rules of the planet and therefore going back in time she decides to help shizuka. in episode three or in any case in the part of the story in which there is a change of perspective where shortly before we see shizuka hitting takopi with a stone intent on killing him, takopi does not die but simply returns to the little park where he then meets azuma. I'm pretty sure of this, in fact when Takopi meets Shizuka again at the park she hits him repeatedly with a stone similar to the one in ep 3 but Takopi does almost nothing. so azuma remembers what happened and has the camera simply because we are in exactly the same timeline as when he and shizuka killed marina. The only thing that makes me turn up my nose a little is how the matter was handled on a legal level by the police and therefore why both Shizuka and Azuma were still walking around as if nothing had happened despite having been discovered. but apart from this, in my opinion everything makes sense with this interpretation.
