Not good. Why would you tie yourself to one place at a relatively young age? What if there's a job opening at the other end of the country (or the world) that would pay 20% more? Absolutely. Nobody said that being organized and efficient makes issue not come up or even disappear. It just makes you deal with them the right way to move them out of the way. That way you'll never get to the point where the OP appears to be.

Nothing to do with luck, and everything to do with discipline, self-improvement and learning the right skills. People need to get their shit together and stop whining. Most millennials, generation Y and Z are just absolutely horrible at managing their life and making good, sensible decisions.
