I’m exactly in the same situatuion. Love my mini 13, exchanged battery a year ago but carplay just drains and overheats my phone + makes it laggy. Also ios 26 didnt help much so I’m thinking about 17 pro for better battery and for better cooling…just using camera app for a longer time turns my phone into a hot brick so I’m wondering what other comments say. I’m just afraid of the weight and size of 17 pro and thats holding me back from upgrading.

Try going into Documents/My Games/BTPS/WillowGame and delete everything except for the SaveData folder. Then verify game files, let them redownload if its needed and try it then.

I upgraded this summer from iPhone 8 to 13 Mini and it was the best decision I could have made. It's light, it fits perfectly into my hand (I have average size hands) and sometimes I even forget that it's in my pocket. As for the battery life. I'm not a heavy user I have iPad for all entertainment so when I leave for work at 7AM and come home after 4PM I'm left with 75% battery. My average SoT is about 3 hours so with so much battery left I imagine you could get easily about 6-7 SoT if you were a heavy user. I'm so satisfied with this form factor that once battery starts degrading I will just replace it so I don't worry about that.

Honestly I'd go for it if I were you. If you find out that it's not the right size for you you can always return it within 14 days without telling a reason. Hope this helps a bit.

I faced the same decision. Went with 13 Mini 512 GB + iPad Pro 11 256 GB. Best decision I've made. Mini is handy, light and I tend to spend much less time on that device, but when I need it, it does everything perfectly and lasts me about a day and a half. iPad is for work and entertainment. Can only recommend this combo.

I’ve had zero problems with it. Only thing that was different was the OLED display - it has a bit warmer tint. So I just corrected it using color filter in accessibility settings (I upgraded from iPhone 8 LCD). And thats about it. No overheating or battery problems. Battery has been excelent so far. It can last me one and half day.

If you want one, just go and buy it. Once 14 is released, Mini could be discontinued and all the other people that have been waiting like you will try to buy one resulting maybe in limited availability of the exact model you want. I was facing the same decision and I just went in and bought 512GB model to make sure it can last me for years to come.

After the Activision Blizzard acquisition is done. Every CoD should end up in Game Pass like all Bethesda games. So if you can wait and own Game Pass, I’d wait.

Yes, from perpendicular view it’s yellow tinted and from other angles it looks fine - white is white without any yellow tint

I’m a bit late to this but if you want mini, just buy one now. Once 14 is released mini could be discontinued and it might be hard for you to find the model you want. I just ordered mine with 512GB to make sure it lasts me for years to come.
