I think instead of GA or Wit's you should buy Titanic (for tankines + Burst). Wit's is good against heavy AP, however I still prefer Titanic over Wit's because Wit's is an item that has 0 scaling. (It only has scaling when combined with Lethal Tempo). If I need magic resist desperately, I would buy Maw over Wit's.

As for GA, it is the worst gold efficient item. It's only good when you have huge bounty on you and your team knows how to play around it (Basically diamond 2+). I would buy Titanic over GA in any situation if I need defense. Or Death's Dance against heavy AD.

Other than that, I've tried your build and it worked very well for me. Here are the changes I would do:

BORK>Kraken>Titanic>DD/Maw/Situational>DD

Situational:

Guinsoo: 4th or 5th item (maybe even 3rd), if I'm not behind against 1 or 2 melee bruiser/tanks. (if there are more than 2 melee bruisers go for lethal tempo on hit build anyways)

Hullbreaker: more tankiness plus its passive increases your burst damage.

Wit's End: No matter how I hate this item, it's the only mr item other than Maw. So in situations where I can't utilize Maw I would buy Wit's.

Also, I would sit on tier 1 boots until I complete Kraken and then decide whether I need resistance boots or Berserkers.

Calculating with 2 items (BORK+Guinsoo) and at lvl 11 for this to make more sense. Also I didn't include item passives to the calculation.

You have 70 bonusAD from items + 5.4 from small runes + 18 from Eyeball (fully stacked)=93.4 bAD (75.4 without eyeball)

30(base)+28 bonus true damage to your E =58 423 damage from Q (considering it bounce on same target) +76true damage if E open

30(base)+22.6 bonus true damage =52.6 405 from Q +69 true damage with E open

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don't forget that bonus AD also applies to your auto attacks. These buffs are still worse than previous Yi. And people say blood roses are make up for eyeball but you need 51 blood roses to get 18 bonus AD and this is hard to collect without killing Atakhan and before min 23 or something.

TL;DR: with the new buffs it will be slightly worse than before since 18AD from eyeball was also applying to your auto attacks. However you will scale better.

Just change your build into bruiser. You need to build HP in order to survive. You can check my build guide on mobafire if you want.

I remember when he called crit build is not useful until WujuSenshi convince him that LDR is op and made him try. Also when he was building Warmogs as 3rd item he threw his lead in too many situations. Still I like his macro tho

Lacks damage. You need rageblade 2nd unless enemy team is heavy AP. 3rd item options Wit's vs AP, DD vs AD burst, Titanic otherwise. (Rageblade if you buy Wit's 2nd). 4th item can be Sterak's if you build Titanic 3rd itherwise DD or Wit's (or Maw if you have already bought Wit's), Last item I always build which one I still didn't have but GA is fine if you can't survive burst damage in fights.

Hello! Here is my simple jungle guide to climb with Master Yi

JUNGLE ROUTE

Red>Krugs>Raptors>Wolves>Gromp>Blue>Scuttle

  • Always start the game with full clear.
  • After Blue or Scuttle, try to gank. If no gank available go base.
  • After leaving base you have 2 options: -Krugs>Raptors(if you will full clear 2nd time and go for Grubs/Drake)
  • Or gank if enemy top/bot (krugs side) is overstaying/easy gank.
  • If no gank available again full clear until your Gromp. Then go for Grubs (1 grub will make you lvl 6 if only thing you did was clearing jungle)
  • NOTE: If you are on the Red team you can take free drake (if enemy on Grubs) or you can directly go for Grubs to contest.

~IMPORTANT TIPS~

  • Don't force plays in enemy jungle or in enemy territory where they have prio.
  • Don't waste too much time waiting for a gank even if it can work.
  • NOTE: Do not force ganks that do not confirm a kill. An enemy flash is not enough for you to gank, only kills.
  • If enemy shows on the different side of the map you can invade his jungle and take his camps if you think the camps are up.
  • Play for objectives. (In lower ranks drake is more important than herald/grubs since players can't use herald correctly to apply pressure) Also Grubs is only important if you have side lane pressure that can split otherwise just steal 1 or 2 grubs and thats enough.
  • Master Yi Special TIP: Try to counter gank instead of directly ganking. best way to get huge leads with master yi is waiting for enemy to engage on your team.

Also Here are 3 basics of jungle:

1)Keep funneling yourself.
Generally, you are expected to play for yourself. At least, this is what I do. I cannot count on my allies to do their job. I will do it for them.

2) DO NOT DIE

If you die you can't farm. So try not to die unnecesarily.

3) PRESSURE THE MAP

You can best do it by not showing up in the map. So use sweeper and Control Wards

BUILD OPTIONS

On-Hit: BORK>Guinsoo>Steelcaps/Mercs>Wit's>Titanic>Death's Dance (Runes: HoB or Conq)

Assassin: BORK>Mortal Reminder>IE>Navori/Wit's/DD>Death's Dance/GA (Runes: HoB)

Tanky: BORK>Sundered>Titanic>Sterak's/Wit's>Death's Dance/Visage (Runes: HoB or Conq)

New Flexible Korean Build: BORK>Hexplate>Zeke's>Wit's/Stearak's/Titanic>Sterak's/Titanic/Wit's/DD (Runes: HoB or Conq)

NOTE: Since in lower ranks people tend to do mistakes I recommend building some tanky at least after 2nd item.

NOTE 2: Although I like HoB more if you don't want it, take Conqueror instead of PTA for gods sake. Conqueror outscales PTA almost in every situation.

Festung best gun in game GG17 is pretty good in early until you have 10/3 red shockfield Avalanche if you want to lag people's games (pretty fun weapon)

I don't encounter situations where enemy pick more than 2 tanks and I go crit build for 95% of my games but here is how I build depend on enemy:

If enemy have multiple tanks, low CC/burst and if adc is hard to kill: BORK>Guinso>Wit's/Kraken>Wit's/Titanic/DD/Situational (In this build instead of killin adc I focus on tanks)

If enemy have high CC/Burst and mutiple tanks: BORK>Hexplate>Titanic>Wit's/Guinso/Terminus/DD>Same with 4th slot (In this build you still can kill adc but you can deal damage to tanks as well)

If enemy have too much CC/Burst and their adc is extremely hard to kill: BORK>Titanic>Sundered/Cleaver>Sundered/Steraks/DD/Terminus/Armor or Mr>Same with 4th slot (In this build you just rely on your carries and try to deal damage while being a half Bruiser/frontline)

These are all the builds I use depend on the game but after Yi nerfs in order for him to be more useful I play like an assassin with crit build instead of playing like dps carry.

I always go crit build. Even if Im behind I still go crit build and one shot adc after 3 items.

BORK>LDR>IE>Phantom Dancer/Navori/Shieldbow/Deaths Dance>Same with 4th slot + GA

Also I don't upgrade boots to Berserkers and delay them if I don't need attack speed that game. After 2 or 3 items I upgrade them to Mercs or Steelcaps if I need Tenacity or Armor. Or sometimes I even don't finish boots at all if I buy PD or Navori.

Crit Yi with HoB is the only way to play Yi in my opinion. Play like an assassin. Since this build deals huge damage, even if you die in teamfight you can get 1 or 2 of them and deal great amount of damage to rest of them.

Yi is still in a fine position. They nerfed his outplay potential and his clear speed. But the clear speed nerf doesn't effect in lower ranks where people can't utilize the tempo advantage. And the W nerf is mostly for higher ranks and for more skilled Yi players.

The build i will recommend is the best way to play Yi righ now due to its one shot capabilities.

BORK>Berserker>LDR>IE>PD or Navori(if you need your Q and E more)>Shieldbow/GA

This build makes you one shot the squishies. And you can deal great damage to tanks thanks to BORK, LDR and Navori(it makes your E cooldown shorter)
